"Music Industry Today Is Filled With Lots Of Posers"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Can't play the fiddle little? Join anyway
Cause second fiddle kids'll make it today

The music industry today is filled with lots of posers
Even though the sound of them
Will cause naught but commotion
You ignore 'em long enough
Their band will seek promotions
Music industry today is filled with lots of posers

One middle finger fit'll get you on stage
Answer the quibble riddle with new tirade

They label dancer as a freak
Or singer's acting bad
Might flash some chest or half a cheek
Or perform tightly clad
In interviews they scream and curse
They've pierced both ears and nose
You'll never know which they'll do worse
'tween dance and sing and pose!
No!

Music industry today is filled with lots of posers
Matters not which band they sign
I'll avidly oppose it
Door of opportunity
(I) Should find a way to close it
Music industry today is filled with lots of posers

One bar room tiff'll get your face on first page
Then sit there with some kids who are underage

You can't escape from all those girls
They'll sleep outside in tents
They've memorized the words you sing
And know just what you meant
And when your discs go plat'num
You will get that royalty
They'll pay you so much money that
It's like the world is free

Oh..
Music industry today is filled with lots of posers
If you want to be famous
Do something that's atrocious
Don't you know this messed up world
Has raised us bad and owes us
Normal people's got to pay! Those nasty little hosers!

Come get the fame that's due ya! Get it today!
Don't be a player hater! Join us today!

So if your dad's a lazy bum
And moms has run away
If Welfare said get lost
Landlord evicted you today
It's time for all of that to change
And get on with your life
Just sign a pact with Hollywood
And end all of that strife!

You think we need more bands like Dschinghis Khan? (Oh great, someone's probably going to ask me what the hell is it with me & Dschinghis Khan by now)

Now log on You Tube and find Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and Peggy Lee. They had some taste.

Loved this, Tim...a very incisive take on celebrity ambition. If I have one gripe, it's that your rhymes in the choruses were often a bit too "loose" for my liking, ie rhyming "posers" with "commotion". However, still worthy of 5s
