The Lyrics

This here's a little story 'bout this man Ahmed,
A not so poor emir, had him quite an oil spread.
Then one day they were shootin' up Kirkuk,
Was a mis-guided round, now his house is ker-put.

Broiled that is, Mang-old, History.

Not the first thing to go, 'Med lost some other lair,
Kinfolk said 'Med let's move to Belair.
Said war's too stormy, there's a better place it seems,
So they loaded up their butts movin' to that Belair scene.

Thrilled, they is,
Warrin' fools, Mudejars.

The Bel-Arabs!

So if you're in Belair, say hey, to 'Med at his new scene,
Tell him that we're sorry and then blame the Fedayeen.
Our hope you're likin' very much your new locality,
We hope they'll be no shelling on your current property.

Fedayee that is. Infidels, Check the Jews out. This ain't Iraq now, Emir.

SNL - You'll just have to forgive the fact that I neglected to search the ENTIRE internet before writing this. I guess then I should be awaiting a subpoena from SNL and NBC lawyers.

Here's the parody from SNL: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Come and listen to my story about a man named Abdul, A poor old bedouin, barely kept his family full. Then one day he was shootin at some Jews When up thru the ground came a bubblin' ooze; Oil that is, Tehran Tea, Kuwait Kola. Well next thing ya know Abdul's a billionaire. The kinfolk said to move away from there. Said California is the place to be; So they loaded the Rolls and moved to Bel Air, next door to Beverly, Hills that is; Home of swimming pools, movie stars, Jews!

WIth all respect "Red" & your point here in your comment is?

I believe I already acknowledged the fact in the comment above yours that at some point in time SNL did a similar skit using a similiar parody on this matter.

I have been writing out here for a lot of years and I assure that all of my writes are original thought created on my own.
I will give the benefit of the doubt to you that you are not trying to slam me for any kind of plagerism. . My other 900 plus parodies will stand up to the acid test on this matter. I would not ever dream of any kind of plagerism in my work, that is if that is what your comment is trying in some way to attempt to portray a flawed character on my part, where I would resort to plagerism.

Thank you for once again pointing out to me that SNL did a similiar parody song on one of their skits but if you check the dates on the comment pointing out the site where the SNL skit can be found online you will realize that I have been aware of this now for nearly six years.
BR> There are countless examples of parodies out here that seem to copy something else that is original. Do you actually think that one and only one person can have an idea and no one else could come up quite innocently with something closely similiar? THere are countless parodies out there penned by me that others have piggybacked upon in their writes,. Yeah - I coud slam them in comments for "stealing" my idea but unless it is blatant I simply put that thought out of my mind and if the parody is good, I comment on it and give them credit for their write.

The only reason that I am addressing your comment on my parody is because my perception to your comment scans to me as being accused of something that has no merit.

I thank you for reading and commenting on this write. I am always happy to see comments on my writes be they positive or negative or neither, including this one. It is valuable feedback to make me a better writer. Peace, Red Sam Rackham..

Maybe it's a coincidence, but "Fridays" TV show back in the late 70's, early 80's did a sketch called the Bel-Arabs. They used the same idea and theme song.

It was amusing when SNL did it. Your cheap rip off is just racist and pretty sad. At least they put it in a funny skit. Oh and I love your claim about not having 'searched the whole darned internet' before you wrote it. You clearly stole it. You even tried to parody the same song. That's pathetic. Stick to good ole hate speech and just keep it real.
