Out in the West Texas town of El Crapo,
they've got a song 'bout some Mexican girl:
shameless young hussy, the name of Felina.
Give her a buck and she'd give you a whirl.
Give her five more and she'd leave the cantina,
take you upstairs in that flea-bag hotel.
Why I would fall for this faithless young maiden,
I'm at a loss and in vain, I could tell.
One night a bunch of old truckers came in,

starting to grope her, but then, I was sober
and there was no virtue for me to defend.
So in anger I
ended this story right at the beginning,

I hope she's happy with her mother truckers.
What could I expect from the town's fav'rite whore?

I think it was a stroke of genius to cut the song off where you did. After all, if Marty had, there wouldn't be much of a story... but his character would probably have lived a lot longer. So I don't want to see anybody hit your score on the pacing because it was shorter.
I concur with Michael. This abbreviated version does the job nicely. Have you ever heard the shortest blues song in history? It goes "I didn't wake up this mornin'......"! ;D

At least the story had a happy ending for the singer. And if Felina made some bucks, I suppose she was happy, too. Nobody got shot. Maybe somebody got shots. You could take that both ways. Maybe they did. Since this site would not post my renditions of "The Shortest Song in the World" or "The Ballad of Spiro Agnew", I'll just have to do my version of "Ringo" right here in the comments section. "He lay face down in the desert sand, clutching a six-gun in his hand. Shot from behind, I hoped he was dead, 'cause I'd just plugged him with an ounce of lead. But a spark stilled burned, so I used my knife. And late that night I took the life of Ringo". Apologies to Lorne Greene. And, I did love your French version of "Ringo".
If you do that (truncation) to "American Pie", you'll be hung in effigy, a small town outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana.... Funny concept, lazy writer. 2-5-2.
Pick a shorter OS next time, if you've not got nine verses of creativity in you, says the writer of six consecutive parodies of "Major-General" -- tomorrow's *will* be truncated, but filled in with other equally-amusing (one hopes) original material, and fitted in with the theme. Cheers.

Tommy, There was a truncated "airplay" version of "American Pie" for radio stations that couldn't abide a 7 minute song. I wouldn't want to be hung in Effigy. Much better to be well-hung in Intercourse, a small town near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Ah, but Patrick, Intercourse is but 4 miles from Paradise! But the town of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania is 240 miles from Penn State Forest, which is just off the Jersey shore.

I've heard it said that those who quibble about size usually are the ones with something to hide. This looks & sounds good to me.
