Love joke parodies. Glad to see another out here. I write them occassionally myself. Heard the joke before but it still caught me a bit by surprise. I was on the next to the last line and I said, no, he ain't gonna do that. Then I LOLed. I got to enjoy the joke all over again in this great parody form. Well done Red Neck. As Alvin put it, "wonderfully sick!" 5's for your efforts.

It's funny... Never heard the original though, so I don't know how well it matches the timing. I like hippies, but don't care for rednecks by the way
Parodies are nice if they are tasteful and convey the same spirit as the original. Merle was writing about real life in real towns with real people who are working and pulling their weight while wondering why people like you criticize and mock decency and still take advantage of a system that allows your perverted take on life.
This is an old song from the 70's first done by Brentwood Rocker, a band on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, playing at Fiesta at the Fiesta. One we sang all the time as a teen.
If the things you say about these certain weren't factual then your parody wouldn't be this good! Music is supposed to be an expression of your ideas, hopes, dreams, observations of what you see around you, etc. - that's a Zen exercise for you! Keep it up.
