The Lyrics

Ok, Charles....um...Sir....I'm giving this a shot. It came to me so easily, and I love it..and I want to share it. I leave it up to you. I guess it all comes to what "is" is. I hope the rest can see it. If they DO get to see it...here is what I would post for Top Comments: The song is "sung" by Bob of Sesame Street and the end part is "sung" by yours truly (except the part about living with Bob!)
I have often walked, down this street before,
With Maria, Mr. Hooper and Muppets galore.
And I can't say why, I think Big Bird's bi,
Things are queer on the street where I live.

I've caught Grover once, all gagged up and bound,
With a rubber ball in mouth, so he can't make a sound.
I've seen Piggy pour, chocolate sauce and more.
Things are strange on the street where I live.

And Oh, the really queer feeling,
Just to know, that it is all here.
And if Charles G. isn't reeling,
At this song, maybe, it will certainly appear.

I say "I don't care, let him censor me!"
"I'll write parodies on the street that they call Sesame!"
And if Big Bird's Bi, I will just say "Hi!"
And shack up with old Bob where he lives!

This is exactly what Jude and I were discussing the last couple days. It's MUCH more fun to work within some restrictions and cleverly say what you want than just have a free -for -all. This is why magazines like Maxim are taking the market from Hustler.

That's one! One funny "Sesame Street" parody you have written! Ah-ah-ah! Of course, it's Ernie and Bert who have faced the most gay rumors. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm shocked!! I NEVER thought that I would get this thru the censors! Makes me kind of wonder what constitutes "sex" to good ol' Mr. G. And, yes, Michael...just ONE so far. I will have to work tirelessly to write as many as you have.

I really liked this - some parodies I find hard to sing without the music but this one I don't. Well done.
