The Lyrics

First parody of mine hope u like it
I recall the time Tom made this quaint little Irish Village
And we went there, cause it made everybody glad
Then our Captain had to create her custom holo-boyfriend
You have to admit that its really kind of sad

Fair Haven Park is frightening in the dark
All the holidecks are running wild
This relationship is too hard to explain
Well I know its gonna mark me
But my Captain acts like Barclay
And I never wanna see that look again
Oh NOOOOOOO

I cannot approve of this attraction
Cause, getting threatened by a program, always makes me kind of mad
They wouldn't stop the program to save their crewmen
You must admit the truth, that its really kinda bad

Fair Haven Park is frightening in the dark
All the Holodecks are running wild
Someone killed the safeties in a gun
Well I know its kinda scary
Now we have to rescue Harry
And I'm never gonna use this thing again
Oh Nooooooo

Fair Haven Park is frightening in the Dark
All the Holodecks are running wild
What a crummy idea this has been
Well I wish they'd take Rick Berman
Then the Villagers could burn him
And we'd never have to use this thing again.
Oh Noooooooooooooo

I'm the Star Trek fan who voted you your 5-5-5 here. I like the parody, it's got some good rhymes happening.

Thanks Mr. D!

Sol R - you did a real nice job here, 5-5-5, but I think this is a little too specific to one episode to draw a lot of action here.
Kristof Robertson - October 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Good first effort Sol...but I have to agree with Mr Robinson: this is a bit too specific and only real diehard Trekkies will get many of the references. Try to write a bit more generally and you'll get alot more response. 534

(Fantasy/Sci-Fi) Good one.

(SCI-FI) A fine debut.

Excellent - while I didn't get all the references, it was probably because I was too busy thinking "ah... this must be the song Weird Al parodied for Jurassic Park", so even though I DKTOS, I do know one song to this tune :-)

I get it now! DKTOS means didn't know the original song. I get it.

(Sci-Fi/Fantasy) See above.

(SCI-FI) Well I for one missed this the first time out but do know the character "Barclay" quite well and this worked for that episode rather well. Barclay wears a medical alert tag that says "Do Not Transport". Well done Sol - I liked it.

(Sci-Fi) As I noted above, I thought this was a very good parody. And I happen to know the episode it's about, so I thrilled, because most of the entries in the contest might as well be written in Swahili or Urdu to me (and I mean no offense to those who speak & or understand those languages)...
