The Lyrics

Story of Skip Wagner - Entertainer in Wisconsin for years and years ...Known by many in the vacation land of the North woods for his unique talent of playing two trumpets at the same time...He lived a block away from me in our home Village of West Milwaukee and would say " Hi " to him all the time...An all around great musician and comedian too ...He was a tough act to follow but loved by all for his warmth and charm....There is a small bio on the net....and I found some interesting things about his life that I didn't know in which were helpful on writing this...He's still having fun and I see him every time I'm by the Chain o' Lakes area He has had some health issues and has downsized his act but not his showmanship ..There is a presented dedicated statue in bronze of his likeness including his twin trumpets ..In the Town of Three Lakes... and they don't do that for just anybody - Way to go Skippy !....Oh , and another thing...The idea popped into my head while listening to the os. . instrumental break ...reminded me of Skip and it made a double bonus good fit
Found in paper rack
Exploring
Near *Skip Wagner's Act*
Eyes saw

Briefly hyped
Bronze image given
Livin' legend
Tourist God

Tourist mob
Of higher ages
Long motorcades
Short pace cars

Will hit town and
Some deer locally
Watch 'em hit the
Same three bars

( BREAKER )
One-Nine, on the C.B.
Man's spinnin'
Brazen trumpets
By his hips

Pressed to lips,he
Blows horn music
Ergo makes 'em
Worthy trips

See Wisconsin son's attraction
Newly erected
Permanent marking spot

Village King of three laked city
Thanks to Ma and Pa's
( kids ya brought )

!... Handsome Witty Star ..!
!.. Lands In E. R. ..!
Leavin' grievin' ladies
Abandoned Band in bar

Survived a little Heart Attack
Insides healed
Chews asp'rins now, and jokes

Got it written down on
His Fridgery door
Eat more Raisin Brans and Oats

Still an Up North fun attraction
Near family cabin
Boat pier, fish here spots

Does his thing in little cities
Thanks for your applause
( and for shots )

( Magnificent display of incredible musicianship and masterful Scat interpretation too I might add )

* Man Has Suavey Char....ms *
* Facebooked School Mar...ms *
Rockin' elder ladies
Love rootin' tootin' arms

He likes worn old Skipper caps
And steerin' wheels
On Pontoon motored boats

And likes cruisin ' round
Peaceful watery shores
Much like retired mellow folks

The big Skeeter month's distraction
For every scampered camper
Sleeping lots

Summer, Spring 'n' Fall - it's Itchy
Go spray Gramma now
( kids and pops )

( spoken true words )
- By Noon we're gonna make a break for the lake and jump in it -

E.R. are the initials for Eagle River also...( about 10 miles away ) and I've seen the inside of there Emergency room too......I hope that some of you have seen him or at least heard of him.. I think there was a recent video on youtube but just a sniblet of his amazing talent....don't know if there were any taped shows of his heydays
