Original Song Title:

"What Now, My Love"

Original Performer:

Roy Orbison

Parody Song Title:

"A Cow, My Love?"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The feminine response to the disgruntled-male POV also posted today, so if you haven't yet read "What Cow, My Love!", please read it first.

OS, originally in French, has been covered more than *60* times (a record?) in English, each with minor variations. We chose this beautifully-voiced Roy Orbison video to which to match.
A cow, my love?
Calling me “hefty”?
What you would give
For seductive play --

-- From girls in teens,
Batting their lashes
What a dope--
They’d lock you away!

At twenty-three:
Nubile appeal
True, I've aged some
You, too, chum
Get real!

Now, ev’ry night:
You, dollars, dole
Strippers in lap, on pole

"Meow", my love
Catnip and clover
Give it a whirl, --
-- Joe, but not with me

Head for the bars
Stumble, fall down—whee!
Middle-aged guy,
Thinks he’s thirty-three

So, ciao, my love
Vamoose, begone!
You're free to drool; Run your con, and spawn
But be aware:
Some private eye
May have been hired ... to spy

Then - “Pow!”, my love
Leave you with nothing [1]
Six pairs of old ... Levis™
Kiss my fat a*s ... good-bye!

[1] And readers wonder why TT prefers sheep? ;-)

Pow! Right in TT's kisser, FG!
Great Right-back-attcha imagery with mucho creative phrasing/verbiage... tripped n' flowed 'cross my tongue like, well, 'catnip-n-clover'!

Great companion piece, worthy of the authors! Sounds like she found a way to lose over 2oo pounds of useless fat ass! ;D

I echo all comments above! You sure set him straight this time, FG! I bet you must have lost weight afterwards from putting up a good fight! Great job, you guys! And I love Roy Orbison! Best OS since "Pretty Woman"! 555.

Middle aged? Only if he's still alive in about 2080.

Man, where's the Ricki Lake Show when you need it? Brilliant backatcha, FG...you KNOW he deserves it, girlfriend! (Now raising eyebrows, pursing lips and doing that hand thingy as the audience whoops and cheers) 555

TJC: Yep-- to the moon! Kind V/C appreciated, as always :)

Mark Scotti: And if he knows what's good for him, he'll *stay* on that mat for awhile... ;) (kidding, TT!)

OMR: ROFL!!!

T1K: Thanks...I just thought it up between the Pop-Tarts and the Little Debbie cakes... (Not!!) ;)

CMM: Thanks! We gals gotta stick together :) (I love Roy Orbison, too!)

Ann DiPee: LOL @ "disguise"... and he'll be lucky to still be alive next week if he keeps up the insults... ;) (j/k)

Kristof: ROFLMAO ["Thank goodness!" says TT] at the mental image!! Thanks for v/c :D

TJC: That's better than "crimson and clover" (hate that OS) :-)

Mark Scotti: As I work on my income taxes, looks like I might actually have to hock my shell, as you suggested! (hmmm... methinks a typo, but "shellhocked" is more accurate).LOL!

Old Man Ribber: I beg your pardon... (FG promising, but goes lardin')

Timmy1000: Glad you liked the pair-o-dies!.

Christie Marie M: Thanks for comment on OS! ... I think we both lose weight sending all these drafts back and forth....

Ann DiPee: Or nice " nom de plum" heh heh :-) Thanks for turtle-longevity comment - I telll the girls I'm still in my youth in human years, but .... ;-(

Kristof Robertson: LOL @ TV comment!

EVERYONE: For the record, both songs were collabs, each with input from each author -- although maybe it's funnier as an "I said -- You said"?
