Parody Song Title:

"Still's Hazy When The Moonshine's Clear"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I drank some corn squeezins
From my still last night
It was so smooth I sampled
Quite a while

But I drank about two litres
And chased each shot with beer
Still's hazy through this moonshine leer
Oh, still's hazy when the moonshine's clear

I'm just a mountain man
Who looks through alky eyes
I'm kinda thin
And leaner every day

'Cause there ain't no corn for eatin'
While squeezin' every ear
Still's hazy when the moonshine's clear

Four in the mornin'
Dog barks, warnin'
Sherriff's headin' my way

I'm in a hurry
I drink up
Then everything fades

Now I sit by my lawyer
And I watch the judge
I hear he'd like to jail me
Here today

But I doubt I'll be convicted
'Cause the jury's drinkin' beer
Oh, still's hazy
Still's hazy
Still's hazy when the moonshine's clear

Dee, great parody ... and ... you've inspired me to write a parody of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" which will include my previous comment...thanks!

Dee, it's been submitted for the next posting.

Its title is "Make Me Stoned, Country Toads".

Thanks again for the inspiration, Dee!

I just read a Carl Hiassen book with a psychedelic toad in it...it was hilarious. Glad to be and inspiration to such a great writer!
