Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Could you talk less, be a friend,
Why do you talk on without end?
The television can't hear speaking,
Your mike is keyed when you're sleeping.
Your emmissions keep a chantin' in my brain,
Won't refrain.
Please make less sound, more silence.

Some breathless screams would quell the tone,
Talkin' more than telephone.
When you bellow could your mouth I clamp?
But on you holler, and my ears are cramped.
Don't know why you gab, you talk trash well into the night,
Of things so trite,
Please make less sound, more silence.

I'd like to tighen up your jaw,
Been mouthin' feeble really bore.
Feeble talking you're not speaking,
No one's hearing no one's listening.
You drone on so long, your noises I can't bare.
And no one's spared,
Please make less sound, more silence.

Bull does fly out your mouth so,
Silence please, your answer's no.
Quell your words, I so beseech you,
Tired yarn, when is your speech through?
And your words, like psychic brain drops dwell,
And bellows.
So please jell, make silence.

You're so anal, loud and swayed,
Way past be-yond odd I'd say.
Moan and whine, sass and yell storming,
Quell your words, it's your last warning.
Like the mime said, no words does he talketh or emittin', he in no way calls,
So cement your jaws.
Or sister *, they'll be rounds of violence.
* This parody was not intended to be gender specific. If you would like the big mouth referenced in this parody to be male then just substitute the word mister for sister. This parody is an equal opportunity offender.

Well done, and I didn't think it came across as gender specific. Now it could be interpreted as a political parody, but I don't think that was intended either =)

Wow ...

"Like the mime said, no words does he talketh or emittin', he in no way calls"

Freakin' genius at work here ... another Guy DiRito classic, indeed.

Excellent work !!! It would be cool to hear this recorded, however it flows like the original. Just great. ;)

Alright, alright, you don't have to keep going ON about it :-). Syllable matching is excellent, but it made some of the lines seem forced.

I'll keep this brief: It's one of your best.

Excellent parody, Guy. The only thing I would question is your politically correct statement at the bottom. Parodies are not supposed to be politically correct.

THIS I can relate to! I'm going to print this one out and hang it from my spouse's sun visor! ;-D

Jeff & John J. That statement at the bottom was an afterthought. I previewed this parody to a female friend and she jokingly said that she had hoped I wasn't writing about her. That is when I got the idea to make it gender specific. Originally I was just trying to rhyme something with "whisper". I may be known for a lot of things but being PC is not one of them.

To all who commented and voted. I really didn't expect this to get such a nice response. Thanks to you all.

And Meri - may there be peace and quiet always as you commute. Hope your spouse takes the hint. ;-)
