I've also seen a clip from a Nazi propaganda film that shows a couple of the Hitler Youth soaping each other in the showers. Maybe it was all perfectly innocent.

Hmm... on how many levels do I find this distasteful? Well, there's the charming idea that "it's not bad enough he's a Nazi -- he's gay as well!".... there's the casual opening "Jews die..." opening... Should I go on? Nah... I'll spare us all.

Some jokes are as much for the benefit of the teller as for the one hearing them. I've got another joke for you that was the inspiration for this one: the question of what could possibly be wrong with some smiling old guy who presses little children firmly down on his pelvic region, offers them candy, and says "Don't be afraid to tell me what you *really* want for Christmas!"
If being gay Nazis was good enough for Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris (the Columbine killers), it's good enough for a parody.

I don't recall there was any such in American Beauty, but I have heard that there's some old gay Nazi kiddie porn out there somewhere. Kind of hard to prove, obviously, but from all the charges of their enemies that have proved true, I wouldn't put it past the Nazis even to have done that.
It's kind of hard to prove how people can stuff their own voting totals, too.
