The Lyrics

OS video here.

Song being reworked: "Eight Days a Week".

How I need my baby's loving
For her hand, I always pine
When *not* together: can't withstand
I hope that she needs mine

It's of her: forever, thinking
All ways, always, all the time
From Monday right through Sunday
One more day would be sublime!

Should be eight days in ev'ry week (some extra loving, we would sneak)
I'm longing all week long
Just one more day, I seek!

Monday ev'ning: phone, I'd chat her
Want her by my side
Entire week, can't wait: get at her
How I hate to say good-bye!

Ne-ed longer weeks to show my love
Seven: too short
When time to leave, oh, how I grieve
Need one more day to consort!

A seven-day week's not enough (I need one more day of her muff)
I wish: the week: prolong
A bottle, crack, champagne!

How I want to hold her
Love her "just a smidgen"
Feelings, so strong, feel burn
That she'd return

[interlude - much *too* long for him]

Add day to calen-dar, each week
With her's where I belong
Pique peak: love, cheek-to-cheek

A week of seven days: so lame!
Wish: had one *more* day: do my dame
Eight-day weeks, hereby, I proclaim!

[fade, as he starts wishing for a ninth, a tenth... ]

Wow! Usually your work is so strong, but this... this is *so* week! Seriously, great stuff with an amazingly wabyrinthine worbal web woven!

Can't get you an extra day, but at least this week you can have an extra hour, before it's Manic Monday again. (By the way, that is magnificent melody and arrangement that deserves better lyrics than the Bangles gave it, unfortunately, I'm not the one to write them).

Mark Scotti: No rest for the weary -- but happy!

TJC: Thanks for the week praise. :-D

Patrick: Cripes, it *is* that time again... I'm sure a lot of us could improve on some OS lyrics.
(scratches head, thinks a bit) Hey, isn't that exactly what we *do* here? LOL. Thanks for v/c.

Cal Endergirl: Is that even a *choice*? -- Signed,

Old Man Ribber: Bananas! :-D

John Barry: Or, as TT becomes more fond of saying as the years go by, "Carpe Lectus". (thanks for v/c)
