"The Ballad of the Orange Guy"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I did "The Ballad of the Yellow Guy," referring to cowardice, for George W. Bush. Even he was better, and braver, than Trump.
(instrumental opening)

Whining gol...fer on the course.
Fearful man... who beats dead horse.
Things big and small... about, he'll lie.
Depraved man... the Orange Guy.

Red hat sits... upon his head.
He cares not... if you're live or dead.
One hundred men... his lies did buy
but only three... still trust this guy.

Trained to hate... by Daddy's side.
Trained by Roy Cohn... very snide.
Night and day... he'll vent and lie.
Depraved man... the Orange Guy.

Red hat sits... upon his head.
He cares not... if you're live or dead.
One hundred men... his lies did buy
but only three... still trust this guy.

Back at home... a young wife waits.
Her "sucker" boy... has met his fate.
He has died... no COVID test.
Leaving her... this last request:

"Tell our son... vote Democrat.
Republicans... enough of that.
To trust that Trump... did I get high?
Blame my death... on the Orange Guy."

(instrumental close)

Okay, let's review: * Hitler appealed to bigotry, both racial and religious. So has Trump. * Hitler treated his country as miserable, with the need to make it great again. So has Trump. * Hitler finished first in an election, even though he didn’t get a majority of the popular vote. So did Trump. * Hitler wanted things in popular culture that he didn’t like, as we would say today, "canceled." So does Trump. * Hitler called people in the media that criticized him "the enemy" and said they were lying, when he knew damn well that they were telling the truth. So does Trump. * Hitler valued personal loyalty, loyalty to him, above all. So has Trump. * Hitler took the greatest offense at people who were once loyal to him turning coat. So has Trump. * Hitler let big business do whatever they wanted, so long as they were loyal to him. So has Trump. * Hitler established concentration camps for people he deemed inferior and/or criminals. So did Trump. In Hitler's case, they weren't only limited to along his country's border. In Trump's case, they weren't slave labor camps, and didn't become death camps -- at least not intentionally. * Hitler thought he knew more than his generals did. He didn't. The same is true of Trump. * Hitler wasn't much of a sports fan, but he understood how sports success could be used for propaganda purposes. The same is true for Trump: He used to go to Yankee games, but he went there for business networking. Now, he can't show his face in the new Yankee Stadium, because he'd get the hell booed out of him. * Hitler had a thing for much-younger blondes. So does Trump. * Hitler lied. About everything. So does Trump. * Hitler usually wore boots to make himself look taller. Trump wears lifts on his shoes. * Hitler was addicted to cocaine and methamphetamines. Trump is believed to be addicted to both cocaine and Adderall. * According to his surviving medal records, among the reasons Hitler took drugs was to cure flatulence. Trump has been accused of severe flatulence while sitting in court. * Hitler was at his happiest when he was cheered by adoring crowds during his lie-filled, bigotry-filled speeches. So is Trump. * Hitler was impersonated and mocked, in his own time, by Charlie Chaplin, who, though a genius, was a sex fiend who liked 'em young. Trump has been impersonated and mocked, in his own time, by Alec Baldwin, who doesn’t even have genius status. * Hitler survived an assassination attempt. So has Trump -- or so he would like us to believe. * Hitler has been featured in three episodes of the Internet series Epic Rap Battles of History. So has Trump. (A fourth has now happened.) * And when his reign came to an end, Hitler's country needed serious rebuilding. The same was true of Trump. There is, of course, a huge difference: When Hitler's reign came to an end, he was dead. When Trump's reign came to an end, he was still alive, and began to build a new regime, with a chance of achieving it. One more big difference: Hitler refused to be captured by the Russians in the end, while Trump allowed himself to be captured by the Russians in the beginning.

Further review .. Some 18 months after installation as chancellor Hitler MURDERED most of his political opponents. Trump has been relentlessly persecuted by his opposition. Seven years in the Nazis systematically MURDERED tens of thousands of people with mental and physical defects in a program know as Theresenstadt-4 (or T-4) Twenty years before becoming Chancellor, Hitler was one step above a street hobo. Trump was already one of New Yorks most accomplished business tycoons. Hitler's first actual "job" was to be a runner in one of the most violent environments in history .. The Western Front. His last day on the job he was gassed, even tho he was wearing a mask; a defect he learned to blame on the Jews. And all the unspeakable horrors suffered by Hitler and his comrades went for naught as the German High Command called for a phony Armistice which was in fact a surrender .. and this despite the fact that no enemy soldier had set foot in Germany. Hitler was told this happened because Germany was stabbed in the back by Jews; all of which would tend to create a pathological hatred of Jews ... Meanwhile Trump had 50 years of harmonious relationships with Jewish financiers and businessmen. He also lived in a place with the largest population of Jews outside of Israel in the world, and in a postwar era where ANY expression of hostility was completely abhorrent. So those are a few FACTS which should counter all your non sensical equivalencies

Because he was from Austria, Hitler saw himself as mythical outsider Savior of his adopted country. Napoleon was an outsider from Corsica who believed it was his destiny to save France. The Ayatollah Khomeini forced the Shah to expel him, so he could he could track the Shi'ite myth of the Hidden Iman who comes from outside to save Iran from the corruption of the Shah. And of course, they proved to be disastrous for their nations .... But hark, didn't we have someone just like that whose mother left the mainland to an offshore island and whose father was born 7000 miles away. And didn't this guy have a savior complex as well -- just like Hitler and Napoleon and Khomeini. The hell, he vowed to save the f#qing oceans, for Chrissake ............. See, everybody, I can draw $h*tty equivalencies too

CML, are you really trying to justify Hitler's antisemitism by saying because he was told lies about Jews and believed them unquestioningly, it really wasn't that bad, and trying to exterminate the entire Jewish population was a proportionate response?

I mean, I can think of someone else who believes ridiculous nonsense just because someone said it on TV. What could possibly go wrong when a leader has such incredibly poor comprehension skills?

Well Phil, seeing as how Hitler wasn't murdering Jews when he was a street bum in Vienna. And seeing how Germany seemed to be welcoming to Jews after the Tsar expelled them, mostly from Ukraine, from prior to WW1 and then turned on them like the Furies from hell shortly AFTER the end of WW1 .. (deep breath) .. it would seem that the wellspring of this unprecedented murderous rage just MIGHT BE the unprecedented events of WW1 and its aftermath, to include the hyperinflation in 1923. How is that even remotely controversial? .... Oh, and here's one more small way Trump differs from Nazis. Trump married two Slavic women and gave one of his daughters the loving diminutive name Ivanka, meaning little Ivanna. Meanwhile Hitler caused the death of almost 30 million Slavs .. but other than that there's not a dime's worth of difference between them

But many undocumented migrant workers aren't Slavic, and certainly none are gorgeous ex-fashion models. In any event, there is so much more to admire about Adolph, isn't there?

CML, you're missing the point *completely*: if I accept your contention that Hitler turned on the Jews after WWI, when Jews did not cause the economic woes Germany was going through, it means that just like Trump, Hitler scapegoated millions of people for things of which they were not guilty, based on a willingness to believe lies about their culpability. That is so very Trump-like, ISTM.

I'd argue that Justin Trudeau is closer to Hitler than Donald Trump is. Trudeau is the one allowing antisemitism to spread all throughout Canada and does nothing about it. I don't see him freezing bank accounts of those Pro-Hamas protesters like he (unlawfully) did with those Truckers who were protesting. Another thing, Trudeau even invited someone who fought alongside Hitler into the House of Commons during Parliament once. Trudeau has even said he admires dictators around the world.
