"Shoppers At The Mall"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Sales for clearing, spend unearned cash using their express,
As they trot through shop and store the malls are quite a mess.
They're buying boots and walking shoes and buying by the ton,
After Christmas shopping season is the reason for all this fun.

See those shoppers at the mall,
Outside traffic's at a crawl.
Bank accounts are overdrawn, what the heck, they're havin' fun.
Buying blank diskettes, or zapping sales with lights of blue,
The stuff their buying, they haven't a clue.

You can't afford it that's OK, it's yours no money down,
The price is cheap but interest's steep your judgement is not sound.
Hey on the right those Christmas lights are just two ninety-nine.
You buy 'em now but they get lost come round next Christmas time.

See those shoppers at the mall,
Outside traffic's at a crawl.
Bank accounts are overdrawn, what the heck, they're havin' fun.
Buying blank diskettes, or zapping sales with lights of blue,
The stuff their buying, they haven't a clue.

If you could see you, wouldn't be you, even for one night,
It's this shoppers' buying frezy, that gives me such a fright.
It's becoming quite a custom worse than trick or treat.
Halloween it just ain't over 'til all sales complete.

See those shoppers at the mall,
Outside traffic's at a crawl.
Bank accounts are overdrawn, what the heck, they're havin' fun.
Buying blank diskettes, or zapping sales with lights of blue,
The stuff their buying, they haven't a clue.

Must be an epidemic if you have it too. "Frezy?" gave you fives anyway, I should have remembered this chestnut.

You have really captured the frenzy of thoughtless grabbing and shopping. Those Christmas lights and most other stuff WILL be lost next Christmas! :D 5's

Your parody lyrics really work well with the original song. And next to fighting the crowds at the mall, counting flowers on the wall seems preferable!

Wondered what you would use to replace "smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo". Good job, Guy.

Or "My feet are not accustomed to this hard concrete." Good one, Guy! -- MM
