The Lyrics

Battlestar Galactica
Why's it back? Mama mia!
What's with Starbuck and Boomer?
NOW THEY'RE WOMEN? What a bummer!

Show was gone, but now is back.
It was cheesy, we must fight back.
You watch the show! It's gonna stay!
They'll bring back Boxie, and then you'll pay!

Beware of sexy Cylons!
Who wear silky tight nylons.
Chrome and plastic! It's gone away!
Cylons with cleavage! It's here to stay!

Show was gone, but now is back.
It was cheesy, we must fight back.
You watch the show! It's gonna stay!
They'll bring back Boxie, and then you'll pay!

Back at home, a fan boy waits.
Forces his son, to share his fate.
Son transforms, into a geek.
Did it within a week.

Show must go, please cancel now.
If it stays, then more may follow.
Please no Mork, Alf, or Buck Rodgers!
Heed my warning, or you'll be a goner!

Gee, IMHO, Cyclons with cleavage sounds out of this world!

I've been viewing this one on Sci-Fi. It's better than the Loren Greene version but it has a lot of weirdness in it. I like how they don't do the sound effects for the fighters when they are deployed in space. This is so much more realistic. It still has some of the original shows cheesiness in it.

Kim: Don't give anybody any ideas. Yikes, Jim Carrey as Mork... the Taco Bell Chihuahua as Alf... though "Buck Rogers" really should be redone, because there were SO many things wrong with it. The only thing it got right was Pamela Hensley as the sadistic but quite hot Princess Ardala. Johnny: We're talking about outer space here, so your "gangplank" would have to be replaced by an "airlock." What Sigmund Freud would make of that is anybody's guess, though he did appear on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (as a holodeck character). Guy: At least Lorne Greene didn't fall back into his old character Ben Cartwright and have Commander Adama tell Apollo and Starbuck to "Take your feet off the table!"

Johnny: Ah, admiring the finer points of the show. Thanks for your votes and comment. Guy: The new show seems too much like a soap opera to me. They made the scientist into this wimpy useless thing, while in the original that character was fun to watch. The effects of the show are done exactly they were done on a series called "Firefly" They did the same thing with outer space in regards to the ships, and they made it look like the camera was hand held. Occasionally the camera would go out of focus or the ship would not stay in frame in order to create a live video feel. I think they either copied "Firefly" or recruited the special effects team from that show when it cancelled. Michael: I remember lots of spandex, annoying robots, tubes of lights going into spaceships that were supposed to be fuel lines, and yes I do remember the buxom villainess from Buck Rodgers. It's hard to say whether a new show would do any better, it certainly couldn't do worse. I just needed to come up with something to finish the song.

Well done, I've gotten hooked on the new show. Like Guy said, lots of weirdness, but the cylons "with nylons" and cleavage (not to mention Boomer and Starbuck) are a nice addition.
