The Lyrics

Please suspend any partisan views for a moment as this is not about politics. It is about the A-political ("Let's ream everyone!"), all-powerful Federal Reserve, a federally-chartered, --though privately owned--, bank with an actual LICENSE TO STEAL. I call this a *very* sweet device! The Fed literally creates paper (and now mostly cyber) backed-by-nothing "money" from thin air and loans it to the Treasury, --at mathematically-incalculable interest--, who in turn loans or gives it to pay for ongoing gargantuan and growing programs of war and waste in the good ole USA. These vast expansions of the money supply on whims, though highly inflationary and ultimately devastating to the currency and economy, are nevertheless incomprehensively profitable to the Fed and to those close to it. (If you want to learn more about the Fed I recommend the best seller 'The Creature from Jekyll Island', by G. Edward Griffin.) The fed has been running this scam since 1913. This is *THEM* talking about us, the chumps at the table..

Wha-atta sweet dee-vice
That they're the holders
--When-- our toilet paper goes ka-boom!
And whatta sweet dee-vice
To steal together!
In our Ponzi world they'll push the broom

You know it's gonna make it THAT much better
When each-and-ev'ry-one-can-BEEEE --a debtor!

Wha-atta sweet dee-vice
Our scams don't wake up
Sleeping, tweety waifs with not one clue-ooh
And after having ripped the world a new one
Still the jobless chumps won't wise-up to

The Bonus Times, together, we are spending,
Your debts and taxes that are NE-VER ending...
Oh WHAT-a-sweet-- DEE-viiice!

Baby whennn-- we make-more-dough-and-add-ze-ros, more folks we'll screw-ooh
Maybe thennn-- there wouldn't-be-a-single-thing that they could do-ooh
They would be buried!
(They would be buried!)
And then we'd be happy!
(And then we'd be happy!)
Oh WHAT-a-sweet-- DEE-viiice!

(Bwaahh! ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba)
(Bwaahh! ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba)

[ Slowly now, with sincerity.. ]

You know it seems the more we Talk about it..
It only makes it worse to Liiiiive without it
Let's not Taaalk about it..
Oh WHAT-a-sweet-- DEE-viiice!

(Bwaahh! ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba)
(Gooooooood-night! b-b-baby)
(Sleeeeeeeep-tight! b-b-baby)
(Gooooooood-night! b-b-baby, --Hey!)

Once there was the gold reserves (every country had one), then politicians and banker came up with the ingenious idea that they could fark us with immaterial digits too...

Beyond this parody and its book recommendation, I recommend the current documentary "Inside Job," which skewers Alan Greenspan and Bernanke, among other weasels responsible for the financial meltdown.

Thanks AFW , Peter, and John. And JB thanks for the "Inside Job" tip, I'll chk it out. Before I learned that just six large corporations control most of the mainstream media, it used to amaze me that a scam so bold and so broad in scope could go on for as long as it has. Thanks again guys.
