The Lyrics

Johnny D and Malcolm Higgins are both gonna kick themselves for not thinking of this one first. Let's see, can I get this one past the little blue pencil? "Here's the throw! Here's the play at the plate! Holy cow, I think he's gonna make it..."
Well, with me she would go down but now I just play with my head.
I come in late at night and in the morning, I'm alone in bed.

Entendres, they look so fine (look so fine)
and to think 'em up won't take much time.
I got double entendre
"gas expulsion" there, not "fart."

(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
Them entendres, yeah!
Sing a song of your part!

In a literary life you might say I'm a prankster man.
But she met another guy, now my dearest friend is my left hand.

Entendre, you look so sly (look so sly)
and to beat the censor, that is why
I got double entendre
don't say, "prostitute," say, "tart."

(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
Them entendres, yeah!
Poison from your dart!

(Guitar break)

(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
An entendre, double entendre!
An entendre, double entendre!
(Bom, bom, bom, bom, ooh)
Them entendres, yeah!
Gets my love by the quart!

I swear, I posted this before I knew of Paul Robinson's master, uh, ful "In Love With Your Fist." Johnny: Someday, you're gonna have to do one about how all the fish in the Great Lakes are dying because, well, that's where the longshoremen "go." Know 1: I... love... entendres by the deuce, parodying Bruce, watching my teams win... and twins!
