The Lyrics

If you've never seen the television series, then this parody may not be for you. I'll not sit here write a long detailed explanation of the characters or just what a Slayer is. For the rest of you that are Buffy fans, think back to the musical episode where all the characters were forced to sing their hearts out. As always, have fun.
(Anya and Xander)
Ah, look at all the hungry demons
Ah, look at all the hungry demons

Buffy the Slayer picks up her stake and she goes out on her night patrol
Looking for Trolls.
Hunts in the darkness, tracking her prey before the light of a newly born day.
What can we say?

(Giles and Angel)
All the hungry demons
Where do they all come from?
All the hungry demons
Beware, the Slayer comes

William the Bloody or if you prefer, Spike to his friends and to his foes.
Still he has woes.
In love with the Slayer, will his bloody obsession with her ever cease?
Just rest in peace.

(Willow and Tera)
All the hungry demons
What has our magic wrought?
All the hungry demons
Let's not get too distraught.

(Various demons)
Ah, look at all the tasty humans
Ah, look at all the tasty humans

Buffy the Slayer died but was brought back to life by a magical spell.
But who could tell?
Thought she was in Heaven, but had to scratch and claw her way out of the grave
She wasn't saved.

(Faith the other Slayer)
You're the lonely Slayer -Ah, look at what your friends did to you-
Why did they bring you back?
You're the lonely Slayer -Ah, look at what your friends did to you-
Do you think you belong?

Well done, Kim! Some very minor pacing errors aside, this was wonderfully well done. 555

I've seen the show a few times, enough to get the song. It works...well done!

Kim, while not a "Buffy-phile" I did enjoy the show when I watched it (mostly in re-runs and by no means anywhere near all of them). I did think the Buffy character was well-done and it was interesting to have the character struggle with having a "normal" life and trying to just have carefree-teen-age fun once in a while. And the interactions and loyalty of her friends was fun and touching, too. 5's for your parody.

My daughter was a big fan of the series, so I was exposed to enough bits and pieces to follow along. Good job.

Thanks to all who voted and commented on this parody. Kristof: Thank you for your fives. When I was looking through Amiright for other versions of Eleanor, I came across your "Vlad the Impaler" and I was rather impressed with that. I am glad you enjoyed my rendition of the Beatle's classic. Jeff: At least you are familiar with the show and have a basic knowledge of the characters. I think the more you know about the series, the more you can appreciate (or not) what I did with this parody. Paul: What I liked most about the series was the fact that Buffy was allowed to grow up, graduate from high school, go to college, fall out of college, and deal with life in general. Rex: Sounds like your daughter is keeping you young and on your toes, and at the very least, has exquisite taste in television viewing. ^-^

I know I'm older than its target audience, but I loved the show - loved the whole premise, and the wise but goofy Giles thing - 555 Kim

Being old is only a state of mind. If you like something, then feel free to do so. I think that the series harkens back to the old fifties movies where campy-ness of the plot and ridiculous looking monsters were fun to watch. Teenagers were the ones who saved the day while the grownups hadn't a clue, well perhaps the twon sheriff or his side kick. The point of those older films was not to try and kill off every single person in the movie and have loads of females screaming and or taking off their clothes. It was to have fun with it.

Thank you for your comments and votes. You always manage to pop up as a pleasant surprise after the first couple of people stop by.

Kim.

you're welcome, and my late surprises are not an ego-driven contrived thing (although it's quite a good idea) - it's the time zone - in Australia we're 3/4 of a day ahead of you, but always behind on comments, because new entries get released here at midnight/1am
