How weird, I was just listening to Ironic today! Irony? Nope, just coincidence. I always got bugged by this too. Greatest parody today! Except maybe "My Aroma", and I always thought that Romeo and Juliet was an ironic story.

I love this parody and have always thought of that song as "Pathetic" ( for her misuse of irony ) instead of "Ironic".

SOTM: This is one of my wife's biggest pet peeves, so I got a kick out of this.
(SOTM) I can say that irony was defined to me as 'an unwanted and strange coincidence'. As in "I just placed all of my chips on #27 and it ended up on #26. How Ironic." The focus is on things that don't match your 'desired' result.
(SOTM) Has an entry before inspired so much talk about a different OS? Her song is "Ironic", her examples are not irony though as correctly mentioned here. Great job guys.
