Original Song Title:

"Eight Days A Week"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Eight Legs I Freak!"

Parody Written by:

Tim Mayfield

The Lyrics

Climbed up in this high palm
Practically flew
Kept my composure calm
'Till I saw it move
Squish it, stomp it, splat it, club it
Scared of nothing with less than
Eight legs I freak!

Usually braver
Not the squeamish kind
But I moved this paper
Eight legs I did find
Smash it, kick it, smack it, smoosh it
Scared of nothing with less than
Eight legs I freak!

Eight legged freaks
Abhor you
Eight legs I freak!
It's not too late to bash you there

Doctor say's I'm close to
Making a breakthrough
If you've got a second
Read you my review
Flog it, maul it, thrash it, thump it
Scared of nothing with less than
Eight legs I freak!

Eight legged freaks
I curse you
Eight legs I freak!
It's not too late to maim you there

Seeing just a picture
Creeps me out big time
Got more than six legs that's
Where I draw the line
Crush it, squash it, beat it, mash it
Scared of nothing with less than
Eight legs I freak!
Eight legs I freak!
Eight legs I freak!

Pacing wise, I got lost in the first verse, but the rest of the song makes up for it. 5's... Nice parody

I too got a wee bit lost on the pacing but not enough to 455 this. I hope ants aren't on the termination list.=)

The first verse's pacing worked perfectly OK for me ---- "Prac-ti-cal-ly flew". 5s, good job, Tim.

I love all the Anglo-Saxon verbs in the refrain. 5s

You get fives until the day comes when Arwen begs me to fly out to Wyoming to kill a spider for her. Then you get all ones in perpetuity. (LOL)

Um...did you ever read my parody where chronicled the time that I accidentally killed a monster spider with my bare hands, Mr. Mayfield? We're talking heart attack city...=) I feel for you...

And Mr. Pacholek...that phone call is on my 'to do' list...let's see...yep, right after 'Get Mr. Pacholek's digits.' =)

I like this!!! I hate spiders and I love the Beatles, so it's cool! And perfect pacing too, I know the tune by heart and I sang it, it works exactly right! 5s!
