The Lyrics

What could possibly go wrong during the parody process?
Pull an all-nighter (nighter, nighter)

Load up on soda and then pick a song
I've played it 30 times - still my pacing's wrong!
I can't find the right words this is what I fear
This is gonna suck - so I really need to pull an all-nighter

Get the pace tighter!

It's the ugly story of a parodist
Forcing out the lines - plot just don't exist!
My rhymes not working and I won't prevail
This is gonna suck - so I really need to pull an all-nighter

Make the rhymes tighter!

Pull an all-nighter (write on, write on)

Just when I am thinking it can't get much worse
It's not funny and - I forgot a verse!
I won't start all over, make my song worthwhile
I will put it out - and just tell you that I pulled an all-nighter

Pulled an all-nighter!

Some could really like it, some could say it's shite
It could leave most yawning - tell me AmIRight!
Tell me what's the verdict? - you can say it here
But I'm off to bed - 'cause I need to sleep I pulled an all-nighter

And I'm dead tired!

Pulled an all-nighter (tired, tired)

Pulled an all-nighter (and I'm dead tired)
[repeat until you fall asleep on your keyboard]

"Fall asleep on your keyboard?" Bwahaha, that never happened to me, since I wrote all of mine down on paper with my trusty pencil, and, in doing so, avoided the radiation from the monitor tiring me. Good parody, Red Ant.

This could've been funnier, except I'm glad you didn't, if you turned "pulled an all-nighter" into a double-entendre.

Yeah, there was a time when I first found this place that I did this a couple of times. I was obsessed but, now I don't try to force it. Good one here. 555

Thanks YAD, Michael, John B, Pat and Rick C. I can't say I've worked all night on a parody before or fallen asleep on the keyboard, but the rest is autobiographical.

Unfortunately there's no cure for this condition, at the clinic they'll only tell you to take 555 and call them in the morning.
