Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Stray Pooch"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I would say this song was a b*tch to rhyme, but that is more the content. You'll have to use some imagination for the ending.
Stray pooch, don't you look bad
Such a sad pup... could not look deader
Purina I fed her and she did bark
Really showed spark... she's getting better

She grew, I was amazed
And she played too... a real go-getter
With gorgeous, long red fur over her skin
Must have been kin... to (an) Irish Setter

But then sometimes she wasn't right, she chewed, all night,
On various things, like my new sneakers
Covered the couch in doggie drool, I say not cool
She swallowed my rings and knawed my speakers

Chomp chomp chomp chomp chomp, munch munch munch munch

She grew, packed on the pounds
Tore my grounds up... she's quite the digger
A phase that I figured she wouldn't start
This dog's not smart... but growing bigger

But through the days and over years, stray pooch, I fear's,
Gone crazy or something now... she's bolder
She looks at you and thinks of food, she's huge, I'm screwed,
My stray pup it seems, resembles Cujo!

Na na na nice dog, na na nice dog!
(Yeah)

Stray pooch..., she has gone mad
Now a bad dog... I raised her better
I dial up the vet her phone it just rings
Cujo she zings, I see a red blur,
Seems my setter's thinkin' murder murder OH..!

[chorus]
Rrowl,
Rworl rworl,
Snarl and a growl,
Dog's on the prowl
Stray pooch!

[repeat for the next 3 minutes with me screaming ad-libbed pleas
for help in the background or until someone calls animal control!]

On the verge of too cute for my taste but WTH, 5s. (For an alternative take I'd suggest some double entendres and dedication an all the women in the world that keeps on growing bigger and hairier than Cujo. :-)

My neighbors recently got a dog that's growing at a disturbingly fast rate...more disturbing after reading this. Really well done! 555s

Hey, Stray Pooch, take a look at this --- not really your "theme song", but still deserving of airplay on FM station W-O-O-F ! 5s

Thanks Alvin, Step-chan, Peter, MasonR, John B, Carol, Michael, Pat, Cal, AFW, Pretty Michelle and Johnny D. Peter, I recall someone telling me a while back I should do something to 'balance my karma' . I think I balanced my dogma instead. ;-)
Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd - January 07, 2006 - Report this comment
It's my diplomatic experience that people tend to react to and remember "balance your karma" much better than "get your effing act together"! As for dogma - LOL!

I'm sorry , I didn't like this parody. Not only was it unfunny , but the idea was terrible. I considered it very offensive , sorry. Also , I cannot stand the Beatles , so trying to imagine this annoying song I turn off on the radio if had the chance , was also irritable...so sorry , this was not good in mu opinion.
Red Ant - January 10, 2006 - Report this comment
Well Chris H, let me address your concerns/complaints. It's okay that you didn't like the parody, no apology necessary. I won't argue funny, though I'm not sure how the idea was "terrible". IMHO it was pretty unique given how this was the 40th parody of TOS here. The idea of me being mauled by a dog is offensive? Dark humor maybe, and certainly nothing I'd want to live through again (yes, I've been bitten badly before, it sucks, I got over it). Can't stand The Beatles? Okay, that's your right, not a sentiment I share though. I think the 500 na-nas at the end of this song annoy all but the most die-hard Beatles fans. As for the rest of your comment, I'd reply if I could figure out the train of thought you had while typing the last half of that sentence.

If it was okay for Chris H, to dislike the parody then I guess I can to!!
