"Tax Plan"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I'm really not this cynical (most days).
Let me tell you how Congress works
They need more money for their perks
They pass a tax plan, yeah, it's a tax plan

The bill goes to the President
Who checks how much he's gonna get
He signs the tax plan, yeah, it's a tax plan

There's some cash to pay the pages off
There's some cash there for Jack Abramoff
The Senate wants to fill its trough
The House wants salmon stroganoff

Tax plan
They say relax man, yeah, go play pac man

Republican or Democrat (aaah Mr. Clinton)
The money goes to make them fat (aaah Mr. Bush)
They've got a tax plan, yeah, a max cash plan

And if you say that you won't pay
They'll come and take it anyway
To fund the tax plan, yeah, that's the facts man

And it's really quite taxing on me
Tax plan

Nice job, Rex. It's hard not to be cynical if you've been paying any attention, especially to the last few sessions of Congress. I'm hoping (and expecting) the Democrats to be better than the Republicans were...those clowns surpassed any and all previous records for feather-bedding and self-enrichment - while cutting programs for people who might really be in need...that REALLY sucks. So it would be hard for the Dems to be worse, in my humble opinion. The new Ethics bill is a least a small step in the right direction...if it passes both Houses and gets you-know-who's signature, but I don't expect it to be a complete panacea. Here's hoping, though...

Same old same old on this side of the Atlantic, Rex...it's all about death and taxes. Great stuff. 555

Why not? I am... and it's all true. 10-10-10 minus 50% taxes = 555

And if you say that you won't pay... they just might come take YOU away! Fortunately, you can claim these five exemptions. Two terrific "Taxman" parodies in one day. You and the Hobbitses (Merry & Pippen) might want to hire a lawyer in case the IRS calls.
