Parody Song Title:

"Fool On The Hill"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

every fifth day
he strolls to the hill
the man has a fastball, grim
its oh so run-of-the-mill
and everyone wants to face him
cause they take the ol' boy to school
and when they come up as batters
'gainst the fool on the hill
when the signal's put down
and that pitcher gets set
then the ball, they will pound

bad E.R.A....high as a cloud
the man makes some dreadful choices
and he keeps gettin' plowed
and no batter seems to fear him
cause his curve never seems to break
he's awful, as they soon notice
what a fool on the hill
though he's still hangin' 'round
his job hangs by a thread
soon he'll be farm club bound

his teammates no longer like him
he just smells up the game like poo
he don't last for many innings
that ol' fool on the hill
and the fans start to hound
and they scream for his head
every time he comes 'round

unsound unsound unsound unsound

tries not to hear the booin'
fans laugh and treat him cruel
they don't like him
this fool on the hill
and he'll soon be sent down
cause he fills fans with dread
any time on the mound

The pitch, it's swung on, and there it goes! Deep to left field! It is high! It is far! It is... GONE! A home run, and Alvin now leads five to nothing! It's Rhode-kill! From Alvin Rhodes!... OK, now that I'm done with the John Sterling impression, let the record show that Chase Wright settled down after those four homers and didn't allow any more runs. He was calm and composed, and didn't even freak out when he was sent back down yesterday. He may not have shown a lot of talent, but he showed a lot of character. He'll be back, and he'll be all right.
