Parody Song Title:

"I Don't Want To Boil This Lobster"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

i don't want to boil this lobster, i call "joe"
he would quake in sickened torment, i know
his face is full of fear
and mine is filled with tears
if he burned up and was gone, i'd feel such woe

i've ate a shrimp or two, that i've prepared
but it wasn't really cruel, twas frozen fare
to roast him would be wrong
this water's hot and strong
i've heard they shriek and squawk when put in there

and his plight has made me sad
now, i love him
if i killed him, i'd feel bad
cause i love him

i don't want to boil this lobster, i call "joe"
though my friends say that this critter's meant to go
i'll keep him, it appears
i find the fellow, dear
and i've found he's lots of fun, and tell him so

so tonight, i'll bake some shad
cause i love him
or perhaps a nice crawdad
cause i love him

i've went and thought it through and find i care
its no fun to eat a friend with silverware
he'll stay alive and strong
i'm glad he's came along
i just can't cook him up, i wouldn't dare

Let me guess: You got so upset over the prospect that you walked over to the bar and got yourself boiled. With a fifth of scotch, no doubt. Get it, a fifth?

thanks michael TJC ravyn and AFW...got the idea from my sister who recently prepared her first live lobster...she ate it, but she made her boyfriend do the dirty work...and she left the room cause if she heard it make noise, she NEVER would have eaten it

on a Beatles mission, Alvin? I'm tipping you're aiming to do the lot, like Rick D, yes? I had this probolem with lobsters once, and my shrink told me to stop christening them - worked like a charm - 555

Great parody to one of my favourite early Beatles numbers, Alvin
