The Lyrics

An ode to the most confusing TV series since Twin Peaks...
Lost, I try to follow,
Lost, the plot's hard to swallow,
Lost, you know that show leaves me lost!

They boarded Oceanic on flight eight-one-five
The plane it crashed, and some folks think they all had died
But they washed up an on unchartered desert isle,
The Others there, they don't play fair, I've watched this for a while

Sorry but I still do not get "Lost"
And I keep on watching though I am not forced
Plot is thicker than a Russian Borscht
I am totally lost

That show has me confused in oh so many ways
Dharma Initiative has left me in a haze
There's number sequences and the-o-ries galore
The characters they have flashbacks to things they'd done before

Sorry but I still do not get "Lost"
And I keep on watching though I am not forced
Plot is thicker than a Russian Borscht
I am totally lost

When I was younger, and had more time for TV,
I followed "Hill Street Blues," and understood "Twin Peaks"
But Lost's mythology has left me in the dust
The plot is mined and interwtined, I think that is the thrust

Sorry but I still do not get "Lost"
And I keep on watching though I am not forced
Plot is thicker than a Russian Borscht
I am totally lost, I'm lost, but I want more...

At this point, I'm glad I never started to watch Lost. The humor isn't lost here. 555

I never got into "Lost," either, but your parody isn't half bad. And I'm VERY impressed with how well you kept the pacing. 545

Thanks McKludge, Ann, AFW, John, alvin, Johathan S and not S, and QC79! Actually, I enjoy Lost--it's one of the two TV shows I actually watch, even though it currently has a lot of unresolved threads. But if you're gonna watch it, you have to start in the beginning or you will be completely lost! (My other favorite show this year was Jericho--I'm a sucker for post-nuclear holocaust fiction, and this show is one of the best of its genre.)

I've watched every single episode through the end of season 4. I think your parody fits the bill for the series nicely. I haven'e been able to catch up on season five yet, but I will...that is, when I have time to "get Lost" again!
