The Lyrics

Yikes, yet another Yesterday parody.
Fester's gay, tried to make a pass at Lurch today
The big guy groaned and then just sulked away
Don't tell Pugsley and Wed-nes-day

Handily, Thing's been used for things he shouldn't be
Once smooth digits now move stickily
Oh, Fester's gay, flamboyantly

Light bulbs in his mouth used to glow the night away
But now cousin Itt fills that mouth with "curds and whey"

Fester's gay, wood clamps used to squeeze his head like clay
Now he karaokes Doris Day
Oh, I believe that Fester's gay

That cold clammy skin, such a nice pallor of grey
Now his bed of nails is a UV light array

Fester say, you and Gomez will crash trains today
'Tish already knows how to sashay
Oh, I'm bereaved that Fester's gay

Why, oh why
Did you write this par'dy, newbie guy
Makes no sense to me, I cannot lie
So just go do, another try

Groan, grumble, groan (Lurch sounds) Back to the drawing board. Maybe a Munsters parody would work better.

Pretty funny idea. Love the imaginative pronunciation of "Wed-nes-day". But you lost points with me for the "curds & whey" line--that was a picture that no mind should want to imagine. Welcome to the monkeyhouse. 534

Fester Addams? Gay? Nah, I don't believe it... Freddy from "Scooby-Doo," that I would believe. But Fester? And Cousin Itt? If so, he'd style his hair a LOT better than that -- maybe even forge a neat toupee for Fester. Bad theory... but very good parody!

He would rather karaoke Judy Garland, but you can't get that to rhyme.

I think my comment came off as far to negative, and for example I do agree with Agri (ha-ha, I kill myself) that you had a clever use of Wed-nes-day. Check out http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/thebeatles1000.shtml for my own stretched take on the same theme and the same song, not easily forgotten though I know wish I sorta could. :-)
