The Lyrics

.....another "jaws" parody...
he was stalking
about with grace, between us all
seeking people
who strand themselves in ocean's sprawl
he starts chewing
he won't turn you loose
then its far too late
people pass away

he was stalking
can't get enough
of human fare
when he finds it
he does his best to hold them there
he plays rough...takes no guff
he could rule the world
boy, he sure can chew

see his beady eyes
you'd better watch yourself
and your friends
if they're in range

to this beast
you're really only very small
and he floats on
when fins viewed
then swim out, dude

he was stalking
and he has blood that runs so cold
he eats people
who roam the surf but lose control
out they go
they can't flee
they'll be lunch for him

so you'd better watch yourself
or you may find
you've been dined
by monster there

summertime, he'll come
and you'll see
its no fun
when he floats on
when fins viewed
then swim out, dude

That is what I meant by "Surfer Ghoul". Ghoulish job on my very favorite Beatle record. I never bought any Beatle albums until I walked into J.C. Penney one day and heard that groovy Indian raga music playing on the stereo, so I bought the Seargent Pepper album right away. That was by George Harrison, so it was George who got me to buy their records.
