Hey, this is great! Very nicely put together! I live nowhere near NY (in fact, I'm at the other end of the country, on the West Coast), but I have heard about this...and I do check out sports from time to time. Anyway, perfect score. :)

Thanks John, Serafina and alvin. I was at the game Tues night (Mets 10, Nats 8) sitting in the upper deck and thinking, geez, this time next year, about 200 feet below me it'll be a parking lot. Citi Field looks nice, too bad I won't be able to afford it.

Oh, my God. This may be the best Met-themed parody ever -- and I've written a few. And guess what: "Come Together" was released the same month the Mets won the World Series, October 1969. Of course, now, there's the Curse of Kevin Mitchell. And as I write this, the Cubs may finally be getting some revenge, knocking Pedro the Punk around a little bit. Choke... choke... choke... At this rate, the City won't have to tear Shea down: Met fans may do it for them in their anger over these bums!

Loved this one, even though I'm a bit late getting to it. 5-5-5. :) Michael P: great point about October of '69! I never even noticed that until now. So it was probably appropriate that this OS was chosen.
