Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Rontgen's X-ray Camera"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

will was quizzical...'bout the body, physical
'specially the bones
late nights all alone with lenard tubes...oh...oh oh oh
photos, skeletal, to the masses, medical
ghostly overtones
fingers snaking out in the pictures...whoa..ho ho ho

the plate is getting ready to glow
you know just what's in store

flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
excitement mixed with dread...doot doo doo doo
flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
his apron's made of lead

folks cried, "hooligan...we shall not be fooled again"
some were paranoid
"this we must avoid...an unpleasant sce-ee-ee-ene"
will says, "its OK...radiation fades away
none gets left behind
it won't wreck your mind...it is just not so-o-o-o"

but some were still attacking the ploy
opinions, quite unkind

flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
excitement mixed with dread...doot doo doo doo
flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
his apron's made of lead

though alerts were sung...twas no claims of hurting done
x-rays were condoned
printing up those bony ol' pictures...oh...oh oh oh
raise in salary...nods from nobel's gallery
died in '23 (nineteen twenty-three)
a carcinoma seized his intestines...woe...woe woe woe

remembered still, though long in the crypt
a scientific mind

flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
excitement mixed with dread...doot doo doo doo
flash...flash...rontgen's x-ray camera
his apron's made of lead

rontgen's...x-ray...camera

We don't need to X-ray your funny to see if it's funny. 5's. By the way if they were to X-ray mine they'd find a B.B. where my friend shot me with a C02 pistol on accident he says.
