Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

...as sung by one's wife....every man's worst nightmare....
let me take you down
cause i'm going to
shop for high heels
look for some deals
so hold my purse and hang about
shop for high heels forever

busily seek, till stores close
while you just stand there next to me
with credit cards, its free
somewhat...till its all maxed out
i've got another, if i need

let me take you down
cause i'm going to
shop for high heels
look for some deals
so hold my purse and hang about
shop for high heels forever

gold ones, i slip, upon my feet
the heels, they must be high, not low
and they must match, you know, tunics, that i bought last night
looks like the color's off a tad

let me take you down
cause i'm going to
shop for high heels
look for some deals
so hold my purse and hang about
shop for high heels forever

always take my time, that's just me
as we go, you blow and start to scream
i think you're oh so mean
oh yes...but this won't take long
its only hour number three

let me take you down
cause i'm going to
shop for high heels
look for some deals
so hold my purse and hang about
shop for high heels forever
shop for high heels forever
shop for high heels forever

i...tarry...on

Ah, the lament of the guy outside holding a bag that isn't his. I learned early that it clearly isn't about us guys. It's about impressing other gals with your shoes. "so hold my purse and hang about" was a great sub.

Sure, this song's about your wife. It's OK, alvin, we don't judge here. Well, we do, but only about pacing and humor.

I haven't been to this site for months. It's good to see you're still belting them out, alvin. Good fit to the OS as usual.

Good all the way through, and the last line buried me in laughter.

That makes me think of the comic strip Drabble for some reason. Maybe that's because they always seem to be at the mall.

Loved it! I shop for 'em regularly (or at least any time I can) and I happen to be wearing a pair of them right now. Anyway, you've definitely *pumped* out a great parody (as MasonR said...I like the pun too), and I award it with a perfect 5-5-5! :)

Poor guys! I love to shop to, but not just for shoes. I would shop alone because I can look better that way. lol
Peregrin - December 03, 2008 - Report this comment

I like it very much, I give you a 5 5 5. However, it appears that some little Piss Ant has given you a 1-bomb; I'd ignore him.

I abhor shopping. So this aheels...I mean, appeals to me.

Alvin, this was great as usually expected from you, and I will confess right now that I have only worn high heels several times, specifically at weddings, funerals, and the bar mitzvah of my dad's boss' son, which I only attended for the food and the cultural aspects. My personal taste in shoes runs toward Chuck Taylor Allstar Converse sneakers, pink in color, and either pink or white Crocs sandals, both size 9 1/2 wide. 5s.

thanks andria....i hear ya....shoes are supposed to be comfortable
