The Lyrics

Paul McCartney has labelled the court verdict over file-sharing torrents website www.thepiratebay.com as "fair" (hence my choice of original song here), four people are to pay a $3.5 million fine and go to jail for one year, one of them basically for selling the other three the servers they use to do the same as other torrent sites - including Google Torrent Search (just google it, he-he). The trial judge has since been exposed by well regarded bloggers as an associated member to the Swedish organisation for prolonged copyright, familiar in private with several members of the prosecutor team. Because of this exposed corruption (and lots more, this intro could go on) The Pirate Party of Sweden has skyrocketed and in two weeks gone from 14000 to 42000 members, making them the fourth biggest political party in Sweden (and if the trend continues third before the weekend is over). That said, this song is for Sir Paul OldFarty.
Pirate Bay
Is the future, it's not yesterday
Like the internet it's here to stay
And it grows stronger everyday

So you see
Information wants to be all free
Be it video, words or mp3s
And Pirate Bay it has all three

Lawyers want them gone, say for gifts no-one gets paid
They are clearly wrong, they just long for yesterday

Pirate Bay
Links to millions 'torrents every day
And for faster cables all would pay
That business thrives through Pirate Bay

Where the money goes, I don't know, I'm broke today
I bought iPod, phone and a hard-drive yesterday

Pirate Bay
It's a peer-to-peer for giveaway
Loved by millions 'users every day
That do not live in yesterday

Technology has its advantages and its disadvantages. Thing is, I've been concentrating more on it's advantages than disadvantages because I was attracted to tech and all those features they provide. I bought a new cell phone 2 months ago and I'm expecting a huge bill soon. Great parody. 555.

My sentiments exactly. 555

Decent parody. Can't say that I agree with supporting theft of intellectual property, though.

Ditto on that. I wouldn't normally end up seeing torrents to my movies, but nice take on PB... 555
