The Lyrics

You wouldn't expect a song like this be written by a straight, right-wing conservative like myself.
Yes, you're gay.
The Supreme Court says you can stay that way.
It isn't anyones business, anyway.
Oh, now you can say, that yes, you're gay.

Suddenly, the word "queer" isn't the insult it used to be.
Perhaps in America we should just be free.
Oh, yes you're gay, means liberty.

Why, you, like to bl*w, I don't know,
I won't ask, please don't say.
Accept my freedoms & I'll accept yours, to say, that yes, you're gay.

Yes you're gay. Don't insist I know you are that way,
I, don't, know, I don't care, that, yes, you are gay.

The court says, bigot laws have to go, if that's so
be that, what may.
But if, we're all free, let me too be, live my life, my way.

Yesterday. "Freedom" was synonymous with "USA"
I accept the courts decision, about being gay,
Now, get off our backs, here, at the NRA.

Excellent. Why do they have to act like they are special just because they do sex acts that God never intended for humans to do? Thanks for writing this. It's nice to see others write the same stuff I do about this subject. At least I know I'm not the only one who does not care to know. 5+5+5.

My take on this song is, if we're truely free in America, then we have to accept EVERYBODYS freedoms: homosexuals, religions, gun owners, artists....everybodys! At least that's how I interpret it.

Good parody. Says it like it should be. Like, why should I want to know about them?

Good sentiment but the pacing needs work.

B&E Mcgee - No one is denying freedom, but should I have to accomodate the freedom so much that I have to participate in gay pride week? This is what the song says to me.

Good idea; fairly well done. I really like the sentiment about respecting others rights; I wish more people would see this connection and agree to reduce government drastically. And Guy: They don't think they're special because they do "unnatural" acts; they think they're special because they're *so* good at it....Okay, I wouldn't know, but it sounded good.

The sentiment is fair, but the pacing is pretty rough. Work on it a bit.

I read this while having "Yesterday" playing on CD. The pacing seems alright to me. I like what the song is saying. Why should special interest groups with lawyers be the only ones to enjoy freedom? Who the hecks business is it who I sleep with, what I eat, what I think, whether I wear a helmet or set belts, if I want to smoke cigarettes or even some pot, or if I, as a law abiding citizen, want to own a gun? Either we are a free country or we are not!
