The Lyrics

I think everyone (esp. here) knows the frustrations of computers... I just heard the Beatles' song on Pandora today -- a day wrought with computer problems at work -- and with the opening line I couldn't help but think of the parody version of the lyrics. Yeah, I've wanted to shoot ol' "Mista Vista" more than once today...
Frickin' old laptop
It come bootin' up slowly
It got no mo' fi'-wall
It one trojan holder
It done brought me down to my knees
Got to be a joker it just do what it please

Ain't seen no sunshine
I on support phone call
For my goofy computer
I shoot Mista Vista
He say "Thanka you, for holdin' please,
One thing I can tell ya is it ain't gonna be free"

Damn Computer! Right now, blue screen!

It big production
It got virus on-boot
It done fry the mom-board
He one evil hacker
He done coded down below the screen
Took it with his malware, you can feel its disease.

Damn Computer, died now! I scream!

It big ol' toaster
Got no early warnin'
It done froze an' sat there
I want AV filter
He say "one an' one an' one is three
Hundred bucks for the software" Ya know that ain't cheap!

Damn Computer! Wallet's now deplete!

Damn Computer! (Damn!)
Damn Computer! (Damn!)
Damn Computer! (Damn!)
Damn Computer! (Damn!)
I think you'll understand most lyrics, but just in case some meanings are too obscure: fi'-wall = firewall Mista Vista = Microsoft's Vista operating system mom-board = motherboard toaster = Meaning both that it's "toast" as well as do not much more than a common toaster AV = anit-virus

Makes a lot more sense than the original song. Computers are still too frustratious for me to own one. As long as some f-head in Amsterdam can take control of my machine and destroy it, there is a major element in the equation that needs fixing. May I suggest a physical key that must be installed before the machine will accept any alterations to its program from an outside source. A TV set is not destroyed because a broadcaster sends out pornography or offensive material. Computers should be just as well defended.
