The Lyrics

Hiring out my ship on Tatooine
Knowin' these guys I'm hauling are hot
Then Greedo appears, "Oota goota" he sneers
You know I barely got to fire the first shot

Luke, you know it ain't easy
How hard these Star Wars can be
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me

Finally get the Falcon to function
Make the jump into hyperspace
But as soon as we're out
TIE guys whizzin' about
And they're chasin' us all over the place

Luke, you know it ain't easy
This kind of life isn't free
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me

Ride the tractor beam express to the Death Star
Dressin' up in stormtrooper suits
The princess we saved, she thinks that I am depraved
I think that she and Vader are in cahoots

Luke, you know it ain't easy
I wish Her Highness could see
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me

Don't know why this Princess Leia caught my eye
Actin' like an ode to purity
She gave Luke a kiss
Seemed slightly amiss
I told myself "Oh, brother
What a cri - sis!"

Made the rebel base with the blueprints
Waiting for the Death Star to come
I get my reward, and head for the door
And then I go and do something dumb

Luke, you know it ain't easy
I'm bein' all I can be
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me

Coulda took the money to Jabba
Me and Chewy solvent at last
But just like a dolt, now I've joined the revolt
And Leia's got her hooks in my ass

Luke, you know it ain't easy
How hard these Star Wars can be
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me
The way things are going
They're gonna carbon freeze me

Fantastic retelling of one of the greatest films of all time. All time greatest? No. That is Back to the Future but without a doubt in the Top 5.

Thanks! Actually, the greatest for me would be a toss-up between King Kong ('33) and Shane. With Citizen Kane taking on the winner.

(SOTM) Awesome account of the classic love story of Han and Leia! This is my favorite parody in your catalog by far! This was fun, hilarious, creative, and mechanically solid. 555 Stormtroopers to you and a Happy Holiday too! :)

Thanks for helping to make my Christmas bright! Happy Holiday to you too!

Wow, reading all of these comments saying this is an excellent retelling of the Star Wars story really makes me wish I was a Star Wars fan that understands this. Sorry, the Force is not with me...

That's okay, I've heard that you don't watch a lot of movies!

(SOTM) I love parodies that summarise films in a humorous manner, and this is a perfect example of that. May the 555 be with you!

Thanks! My midichlorians are tingling.

(SOTM) The orginal Star Wars movies were a little before me, so I haven't seen them. I know the basis of the love affair so I could get some of this, but unfortunately I feel like I missed a huge part of the humor by not getting some of these references. Sorry, it was just a little over my head.

I need to stop picking such obscure movies to parody!

(SOTM) I love Star Wars and so does my bro. I even read the book on Star Wars. I watched it from Episodes I through VI...well, it should be the other way around since the recent ones (Episodes I and III) were prequels. My fave Star Wars movie is Episodes III and V. Another great one from you, Porf! Well, Obi-Wan Kenobi says: "May the 5's be with you!" Gotta love Han and Leia!
Porfle Popnecker - January 02, 2012 - Report this comment
Thanks! Episode III would be my favorite prequel movie. Of the original trilogy I think I'd have to say the first one since it was so exciting seeing it in the theater when it was new. But V was like that, too.
