turkey day was thursday
and i kept on eating till i just could not go on
not as good on friday
ain't no risk, i'm knowing, that this bird may soon be gone

what was that thing weighing ?
well i could be wrong, but at least a hundred pounds seems right
and its not decaying
and without a doubt, i'm overweight and such a sight

holidays are short.....but there's still time
for fowl bits to bite on, my friends
i am overwrought, but its a crime
to let it rot, so once again...

its leftovers most days
only time will tell when this ol' tom , at last, is gone
i am eating always
and my pants may tear and rip apart before too long

gravy by the quart...it was sublime
and dressing for stuffing within
all those things are gone, before their time
but lordy, this bird is wearing thin

truly was a great day
those delicious smells, how they delight the merry throng
now upon my lunch tray
is a sandwich that might make me barf belong too long
