The Lyrics

Continuing my complete butchery of my favorite band, I submit more parodies written around the time the Anthologies came out. I know there may be ideas similar to what's already here, but oh well. P.S.,I have new website under construction.
I rode three and twenty-three, transferred for free
To go to see my mother
See how they ride, so crowded inside the RTD
I'm cryin'
Sitting on a hard bench
Waiting for the man to come
When you finally get on
One that's coming your way
Man, you find it turning
To someplace downtown
There goes the Harbor
There goes Ventura
I'm on the wrong bus!
Goo get a job

Mister city Metro city
Pretty big old busses in a row
See how they die right when you want to fly
See how they run
I'm crying
See all of the limos
Driving by in luxury
Here I sit next to some
Smelly dirty wino
Wishing that I had some
Money so I'd get a car
There goes Reseda
There goes Winnetka
I'm on the wrong bus!
Goo get a job

Sitting on a dirty bus bench
Waiting for a bum
If the bum won't come
You can hear some spanish
Mumbling in the back
There goes Tujunga
There's San Fernando
I'm on the wrong bus!
Goo get a job

Repeat
(That's my stop, that's my stop
Everybody, that's my stop)

(Mexican radio station in background....)

This is a difficult one to pace; I thought you did a great job with it plus it actually made sense. Very well done once again.

You not only missed your stop, you missed a verse! The last one. But what's there is great! And I can relate. Buses suck almost as much as the Mets.

My main beef with buses is how expensive they are to ride - but this was good.
