"Can't Pass Me By"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A late night laboratory
I was by myself
Lightning struck the contents
Of a crowded shelf

Chemicals that bathed me
Made my heart rate soar
Like a speed freak
They don't call me "Old Pokey" anymore

I jog around the racetrack
Past the cars I dash
Dance between the raindrops
Never getting splashed

With lightning bolts on crimson tights
I fight crime as the Flash
You can't see me
All you see is my smoke trail out the door

Can't pass me by, don't even try, you'll only lose
Cause no one's faster without rocket shoes
If need arise, I'll heed your cries
Way before the echo dies
Can't pass me by, don't even try

The Man of Steel once challenged me
To a global spin
It was for a good cause
So I let him win

And while I was on the run
I hauled some bad guys in
I said don't mind me, I'm passing time
Just waiting till you begin

Can't pass me by, don't even try, you'll only lose
Cause speeding scarlet defeats super blues
You'll only see the back of me
I'm as rapid as can be
Can't pass me by, don't even try

Can't pass me by, don't even try, you'll only lose
Second position's the best you can choose
If you should fall, just give a call
I'll come right through the wall
Can't pass me by, don't even try

I was working on a tribute to The Flash for this song as well... The only joke I put in mine that you left out is the fact that if he's so fast at doing everything that much mean he's a two-pump chump as well. Great work!

I watched "The Flash" on TV when it came out but quickly lost interest. The SPFX were done better on "No Ordinary Family" for the mom that could run at hyper-speeds! Anyway, 555!!!

Thanks, guys! @Matthias--sorry about that. I would still like to read yours! @Rob--the "Flash" TV series was fair but not that great. The comics were a lot better.

DC could update too, but Marvel rules with the upcoming "Iron Man 3", "Avengers 2", a "Sub-Mariner" movie, and even an "Ant-Man" movie. Indies are "Isis" and "Pantha". Rumor is that Sub-Mariner MAY be the villain in "Iron Man 3" before turning to good...

Great use of this really annoying OS. I couldn't stand this song when I had to parody it, which made your consistent plays on words extra awesome for me. 'I let him win' and the first 'can't pass me by' stanza stood out

Thanks! I managed to have some fun with it since the Flash is such an old favorite.
