Original Song Title:

"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Will Bart Be El Barto"

Parody Written by:

Porfle Popnecker

The Lyrics

Tagging with his spray can in an alleyway
Bart creates his latest masterwork
Signs the piece "El Barto" in a dashing way
Then writes a word balloon for Skinner: "I'm a jerk"

Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Even Skinner doesn't know
Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Flip a coin to tell you so

Bart is in his treehouse reading comic books
Fallout Boy appears with plaintive pleas (pleas)
"Help me, Bart, to save Radioactive Man"
So Bart suits up and then into the book he leaps (leaps)

Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Even Fallout Boy don't know
Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Hard to say how he will go

On a Saturday night, Bart is bored to tears at home
Will he go and fight crime, as the great Bartman
Or cause it as El Barto...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Nixing Serpent's plan to steal some priceless jewels
At the Springfield History Museum
As he makes his exit sees a pretty wall
And paints the tale of how he foiled the bad guy's scheme

Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Even Serpent doesn't know
Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Either way's how it could go

For a minimum wage, Bartman's on the "Krusty" show
Leaves a present backstage for the blust'ry clown
With signature "El Barto"...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Homer meets a mugger on his way to Moe's
Bartman rescues him outside the bar
Homer tells the story till the place is closed
Then finds it painted on the fender of his car

Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Even Homer doesn't know
Will Bart be El Barto or Bartman, whoa
Fickle does the Bart wind blow

And if you want a "D'oh!"
Tell Homer "El Barto"

Good to see another simpsons entry for the project. Well done as usual Porf. I feel old now, I remember all the 'BARTMAN' stuff when I was in elementary school.

I love this parody as much as I love the fact that the emo-punk group Fall Out Boy named themselves after this episode of The Simpsons. This is a well deserved bonus song for the album.

My take on this song will be up Monday, I'm finally delivering, you'd never guess it from the coming title but I managed to throw in a hidden Simpsons reference in one line before I even knew you had written this (back-up for Matthias project?).
