A while back I did a "smush" of "Eleanor Rigby" and "Baba O'Riley" called "Baba O'Rigby" where I told the story of Eleanor Rigby using the song "Baba O'Riley", but I forgot to do the reverse smush -- so here I go

Great to see a good old fashioned smoosh. It's been a while. Very well crafted. Never realized the similarities between the original songs. The images of wiping dirt, and wasted lives they have in common. Though I think the original meaning of "wasted" in Baba O'Reilly had more to do with intoxication than desolation. The hunt for gems such as this is what keeps me coming back to AIR.

Thank you Amanda. The source of all this was a thread on a comic website that imagined -- What if the Beatles and The Who had merged and called themselves the "Whotles" Then people put down some song titles and the best one was "Baba O'Rigby" And I knew almost immediately I could do a parody of that. That was easy; the genius was in the title and the idea of the Whotles.
