The Lyrics

OS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-Q9D4dcYng
I heard a tune today, oh boy
About a plucky lass who raised some grapes
And though the tune was rather mad
Well, I just had to gasp
I saw the growth of grass

She grew her vines out in the yard
She hadn't noticed that some vines were strange
Some louts and weasels took their share
They'd weed her place to score
Ev'ryone was feeling sure
That she was from a house of tarts

They passed a bill today, oh boy
Distinguished parties had redone the laws
The stoutest people cheered the day
The finest lads were shook
Grassy heads were hooked
I'd love to turn some sod...

Woke up. A crowd of Feds
Banked a drone around the shed
Found the dame's proud wares and yanked 'em up
Then booked the slut. I noticed she was straight
Doused my roach and grabbed my stash
'Scaped the bust and left my flat
Found some jays to share and had a toke
And somebody joked, and I vented out a scream

Ha-ha-ha-ha......

I heard a tune today, oh boy
Four thousand hoes from dapper chaps procured
And though the hoes were rather shot
We had to book the lot
Now we know how many hoes it takes to till the land for pot
They're clutched to turn the sod...

Autobiographical???

I used to drive down Troost Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, like Santa Claus, shouting "Ho! Ho! Ho!", I guess you can use hoes to till the soil, but most prefer to work at night. Have you seen http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/mitchleighjoedarion0.shtml yet? Nicely done, with some good ambiguous wording.

Did you escape the clutches of the feds by yourself, or did you have a little help from your friends?

Thanks all!

?: You want an autobiography??? OK, how's this??? My auto was born in late 2008. At the tender age of one--that's equivalent to about seven human years--it's radiator was attacked by a lurking tree limb in a blinding thunderstorm and had to be transplanted. Fortunately, the transplant was not rejected, and the car has lived a normal life since, other than having more than it's share of recalls. It's now about middle-age, but has led a rather sedentary life for the past three years, so it's prospects for longevity are rather doubtful. Amazingly, it's never had the need for replacement of any of the exhaust system components, something I consider to be a modern technological miracle.

Patrick: Funny jokes in your comments! Thanks for the link. I just now saw it and left my remarks there!

The mood switch, along with the great line "Woke up. A crowd of feds" was outstanding. Both story and subs are great in this one.

Leough, after I posted a comment, your autobiography comment just hot me (it's early in the morning). It could be exciting if it was auto-erotic.

Great subs & story. Some very odd voting going on this weekend.
