The first steps towards building the Third Temple is here. Opened on Dec 19, 2017 was the Western Wall Tunnels Synagogue built underneath the Temple Mount right under the place where the Holy of Holies was in the Second Temple! Under construction for 12 years, the new synagogue has archways carved out of the ancient stone with the words of the Shema inscribed, features a metal sculpture of the burning bush, and contains a spherical metal ark to house Torah schools. It is the first new synagogue on Temple grounds since the Romans burned the Second Temple down in 70 AD and scattered the Israelites to the four winds. Jewish desire to worship on the Mount is reaching a fever pitch and the Temple Foundation two years ago released the blueprint for the Third Temple. It also has fabricated almost ALL of the items and clothing needed for the Temple and daily sacrifice. It is rumored that a spotless red heifer is being guarded in the Negev desert by the IDF and that genetic testing has been used to help identify the Levite Priests to handle the Ark of the Covenant when it is either found or returned to Israel. All of this is true and is aided by President Trump moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the city as Israel's capital. The two state solution is now dead. This year is the 70th Anniversary of the State of Israel reborn. Possibly Daniel's prophetic 70th Week? We'll see...

The first step is building a separation wall on the Mount. The Muslim shrines are in the courtyard anyway. There doesn't need to be any form of destruction or war. And yes, it's WHEN, not IF. The Third Temple is only referenced once in the Bible in Revelation. The other future one in Ezekiel is the Fourth when Christ returns for the millennial rule. It is far different because the dimensions run miles!!! The Temple Mount Foundation have models of both the Third and Fourth Temples on display.

Actually, this would be more like the Fourth Temple; Herod Magnus replaced the Second Temple (which was much smaller than the First) with the Third. Also, the Negev isn't a "desert" despite what some propagandists' pictures would have you believe; it's a very green and fertile valley, and Israelis grow a number of their crops there. As to whether anyone's intentions concerning the Temple Mount are going to come to pass, well... stay tuned; people have been angling to restore Israel's control of the Temple Mount for an awfully long time, but there's a first time for everything, I suppose.

No, actually, the Tabernacle "tent" in the desert with the Shekinah Glory doesn't really count as a temple. King Solomon built the First and then Zerubbabel built the beginning of the second basic structure which was refurbished by Simon been Yohanan until Herod the Great built the full Second Temple expanded structure that Jesus went into. Btw, both prophecies of Jews back in their Homeland (1948) and the retaking of Jerusalem (1967) are already fulfilled.

Temple #3 is also mentioned in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. To quote one of the Three Angels, "Woe, woe, woe to those who remain" at that time!

Conservatives study every word of the bible with frenzy, overinterpreting every single one every chance they get.

Liberals study every word from Trump with frenzy, overinterpreting every single one every chance they get.

Maybe in another 2000 years we'll have the Gospel of Trump in the third temple of MAGA?

Yes Jonathan, 2 Thessalonians 2:4. This is Antichrist conquering Jerusalem and occupying the Third Temple sanctuary, the Holy of Holies. Since he is backed by Helel (Lucifer in Latin) who is an exulted Cherubim angel, the two Cherubim guarding the Ark will have no power to kill the Antichrist who will lay hands on it claiming he is G-d. The Ark will be removed and replaced by the Abomination of Desolation living statue of the Antichrist himself (aka The Beast backed up by a Jewish False Prophet). I think this same prophecy is in Daniel.
