Song Parodies -> "Go 'Way Sunshine"

Original Song Title:

"Good Day Sunshine"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Go 'Way Sunshine"

Parody Written by:

Rick Duncan

The Lyrics

I don't agree with Paul's original sentiment. Work outside in July and you'll sing this
Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine

I hate the heat
But when the sun is in
That's the day when I can laugh and grin
It feels good
When that sun's away
Nothing worse than a mid-summer day

Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine

We take a walk
The sun's behind a cloud
Makes me want to dance and sing out loud

It starts to rain
The bums are getting wet
They can't seem to light a cigarette
This is good
Maybe they'll go away
That's what's out when it's a sunny day

Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine
Go 'way sunshine

I liked this one, and I think all your Beatles parodies are very good; I just realized by your parodies though that I'm really unfamiliar with alot of Beatles songs--

You gotta go with what you know. They did sort of create many things in pop music that is commonplace today. Studio technique, videos, flanging, orchestrations in rock, lyrics on the back. I followed it all growing up. Thanks.

As a mailman, I totally agree. Except for the rain part. Great stuff
