The Lyrics

Gettin' down to the dregs. Almost done. Harrison would have liked this parody.
When I Look at my T.V.
At gossip show he's there
With his cute young one-leg wife
It seems he's everywhere

It's Paul too much with all his bucks
It seems he's touring more than ever
And his new songs and albums sucks
For us to take it's Paul too much

When both the twin buildings came down
He played a show for free
But after he plugged "Freedom" twice
It was enough for me

It's Paul too much in interviews
It seems he's everyplace that we go
He wrote the songs that made us snooze
Forty years of rock star ego

Better eat your vegetables
And don't go near a cow
Oh, sorry, that was Linda's thing
Don't hear about that now

It's Paul too much, that billionaire
A new wife and some newer causes
Retirement, he doesn't dare
He thinks there's now two Santa Clauses

It's Paul too much, I need a break
I used to like his solo albums
I think I'll go and eat a steak
As George once said, It's Paul too much

Beatrice Milly McCartney was born on October 29, 2003. This means we gotta hear more about Sir Cute One and his Second Wife. Where have you gone, Ringo?

Rick D - I couldn't grade it BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW how parts of it go. Which is why I am sneakily posting this comment. I knew from your bio that you know the Beatles pretty well, checked and saw you did one on this. You see, we are having a Department party on Dec. 16th (our last together since we are being incrementally dumped) and my Manager (she's a gem, I'm posting a song for HER later today as a surprise) asked if I could make up something for one of our people. He's from another country originally and his favorite expression is, and I'm not kidding, "It's all bullshit". Well, I plumbed the depths of my twisted memory and "It's All Too Much" popped up. Jeez, it's already too late to make a long story short, isn't it? Anyway, do you know where I might be able to download the original (legally only, I don't "pirate")? I have a friend who said he would burn it onto a CD if I could find it (he couldn't). Thanks. pr. (P.S., of course I would accept assistance from anyone who read this who would be so kind. I don't beg too often but when I do I like to cover all bases.)

The song was originally released on the "Yellow Submarine" album and movie, available on both and has ben around on many re-issues. The song is very easy, pretty much three chords, and you can always download the lyrics for free. If you just need to be reminded how the tune goes, there are sites with midi-files that you can play for free. I know that locally here in San Jose, radio stations periodically play all the Beatle songs A to Z. I can't imagine you don't know someone that has that tune lying around. I believe that George Harrison wrote it to piss McCartney off, because it's basically ONE NOTE in the bass for a seven minute song. There's musical revenge, for you.
