Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"I'm In the Fortress"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

"I'm On the Wrong Bus." "I Am Enormous." "I'll Get the Walnuts." Mike, now it's you! How do I compete with that? It'll have to be... super. Faster than a feeding mullet, more powerful than a loco's motive, able to tell tall stories in a single post...
I am Clark, Mister Kent, the Daily Planet staff is all together.
See how they run, a guy with a gun, a bank he'sd tried.
He's robbing.
Front page headline make, reporters tend to come.
Can't change into costume, phone booth is now cell phone!
Clark, you've been a naughty boy, I see you wear blue tights.

I am Superman. I'll arrest you, man.
I'm in the Fortress! of Solitude!

Mister city p'liceman, a Metropolis policeman needs some help.
So now my goal, is leave the North Pole where I reside.
I'm flyin'.
Flyyyyyyyy...
I'm flyin'.
Flyyyyyyyy....
Yellow sun for powers, heat vision from my eyes.
Not a Gotham Batman, Amazonian princess.
Lois, you're a naughty girl, gotta save you again.

I am Superman. I'll save you again.
Come from the Fortress! of Solitude!

Sitting at the Daily Planet, will a story come?
Only thing that comes is the signal from my pal Jimmy Olsen's watch!
I am Superman. I'll save you again.
Come from the Fortress! of Solitude! Don't got Solitude!

Hey, Lex Luthor, you're a loser!
Now even the Joker laughs at you!
(Ho-ho-ho! Hee-hee-hee! Ha-ha-ha!)
See how they laugh at your bad-guy gaffes see how they snide!
They're laughing!
Watching you, ya bastard, X-rays on the Lexcorp Tower!
Element'ry, Watson, Luthor's really vicious!
Man, you shoulda seen Supie kickin' butt, aliens, whoa!
I am Superman. I'll save you again.
Come from the Fortress! of Solitude! Don't got solitude!
Must save the world! Got to save a dude like you!

Oopa, oopa, this guy's really supah!
Oopa, oopa, this guy's really supah!
He saves another one!
He saves another one!
(repeat 'til fade)

Not bad! This song is *tough* to parody, I've tried quite unsuccessfully. I do have to note, though, that Superman sounds a bit weird with the stress on the second syllable.

Extra credit for even attempting to parody this tune - super effort, MP.

Let me get this straight, Nem: This is based on "I Am the Walrus," written by John Lennon at the height of his drug use, coming from "Magical Mystery Tour," which leads to the thought of John Lennon wearing a Superman costume... and you say my pronunciation is weird??? ROFLMAO!

Hey Michael - you were kind enough to read, vote, and comment on my recent parody of Simon and Garfunkel’s “I Am A Rock” called “Leonard Played Spock”, so I’m inviting you to come on over and check out my new parody of “I Am A Rock” called “I Am A Chalk”:
