The Lyrics

to finals week: you can take my sleep, but you will never take my keyboardthere's no way i'd ever say that anywhere but here
We are Scots and they are not
Its true they plot
To have our women's children

They killed me dad
When I was a lad
I'll use my life
To fight them

Pillaging our country
Not content with land they've got
They can't take our freedom
Stupid bloody English
They're a bunch of haughty boys
We don't want your tea and scones

Edward's a dead man
Edward's a dead man
I'm William Wallace
I'm not the Bruce

Men from London they get drunk and
Try then to do some things that are gross
You take my girl and
You can be quite sure
I'll take your head

Ain't lying, ain't lying
Ain't lying

I'm so mad I'm crying
Looking at my dead girl lie
No more mister nice guy
Hordes of fighting Scotsmen
Poised to change the modern world
We'll have our freedom now

Edward's a dead man
Edward's a dead man
I'm William Wallace
I'm not the Bruce

Edward Longshanks feeling sick and
Yielding to his son
And his son is dumb, less of a man
Than my unmanly mother was

Edward's a dead man
Edward's a dead man
I'm William Wallace
I'm not the Bruce

Fighting Irish on our side and
English more surprised than when we threw
Pants on the ground and showed them our round
Butt cheeks I found that funny

Should've done more planning
Way too many English soldiers
This is not a good thing
Seems that I've been captured
They can't take our freedom
I know I said that before

I am a dead man
I am a dead man
I'll be a martyr
Long live the Bruce

Ye canna change the laws o' physics, and ye canna change history, but ye sure can write about it! (Oh, great, now Guy or Phil is gonna write one about physics!) Love them historical parodies. Even wrote a couple. Mel Gibson is sure to like this one, but he'd probably tell you in Latin.

Yay! Fantastic! Clever parody, don't think I've seen a 'I am the walrus' parody before and I haven't seen won about william wallace either.

Missed this first time around... a surprisingly sane parody when you consider what the original is like. But excellent! (And no, Michael, I'm not going to do a physics one to this tune... a drinking song seemed much more appropriate ;-) )
