The Lyrics

This is not for the faint of heart. If you're easily disgusted and/or have no "dark side" to your sense of humor, click the BACK button. For the rest of you, enjoy. :)
There are people I dismember,
Like my wife, locked up in chains,
I ensnare them in my basement,
And I cook and eat their sweet remains.

All these people begged for mercy,
But this I denied, I fondly recall,
I'm insatiably bloodthirsty,
With my knife, I cut them all.

But of all these bygone victims,
There is no one compares with you.
And their entrails aren't appealing
When I smell your bones boiled in my stew.

Though I know I'll never lose the craving
For "Mailman Surprise" and "Sauteed Whore,"
You're better than the body parts I'm saving,
With my knife, I'll cut you more.

[harpsichord interlude]

Though I know I'll always want to savor
The taste of their flesh, their guts and gore,
I know that you possess superior flavor,
With my knife, I'll cut you more.

With my knife...I'll cut you more.

Now that's pretty sick... makes me wonder why my "My Sharona (Palestinian version)" got cut by the censor.

there's dark, and there's disturbed, guess which one you are. 5-3-3

All ones for dishonoring the memory of John Lennon on the 40th celebration of Beatles Anniversary Day.

Actually, 5-1-1 would be a better vote, because I think it meets the pacing just fine. However, it is rather crude, so it would be wise to vote 1 for how funny and overall. In fact, that's what I did.

I agree with Serafina; don't just vote 1 for all three categories just because you don't like it. Don't vote 1 for pacing unless the pacing's way off and doesn't flow. There are some parodies on this site that are like that.

I gave it straight fives - no question it meets the pacing. Not my type of humor, however, I've got to believe that within the dark humor genre, it's hilarious. The contrast of the song selection and storyline in itself is funny. It's well-written - a cogent story is told from the beginning to the end. Additionally, the writer(s) put a disclaimer at the top clearly warning and defining the contents of the parody. So, the comments that followed actually prove that the writer(s) hit their mark. Regarding the votes, Michael explained his ballot (as did several others) - so I have no problem with how anyone voted. My guess is that the authors don't either and are pleased with their product. I think this song met the pacing really well, and because I appreciate dark humor, I also thought it was quite funny. I think this was very well written; good job!
