The Lyrics

Boy has this one been beaten-up! If you've made it this far, thank you!!
Stressed today, trouble started when I sped away
Hydrant plug sheared off sent geyser spray
And I believe I'm stressed today..

Suddenly, car not quite the way it used to be
Flapping hood and fender, could not see
Those Reno cops they busted me!

It was quite a show --I don't know-- that's what they say..
I did something wrong --out cold long-- I'm stressed today!

Stressed today, though my cellmate has not killed since May..
Wanting to avoid-- tonight's soiree..
Oh I believe, I'm stressed today!

Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm ...(cellmate smiling..)

Well, you stressed so much you missed that the last verse should be repeated and the opportunity to expand a bit on the story by using it somewhat different, but I like the way you managed to work "soiree" in so I´m transfering you out of Bubba´s reach and into splendid isolation in cell 454.

Thanks, Johnny! Your comments are alway as funny as your parodies! (Hmmm.. maybe the same guy writes them both..) Btw, my last name is commonly mispronounced as "Warden" when actually it sounds like "Werden" (Just a Small piece of trivia..)

Good one, Rod. And though Yesterday's been done to death, you've given me an idea for yet another knockoff.
Ashkicksass - July 16, 2004 - Report this comment
I have. I was just reading some stories about the fire online this morning. The apartment complex I used to live in has been evacuated. But none of my friends are in danger, so that makes me happy. Pretty scary though. So have you ever watched Reno 911 on Comedy Central?
Rod - July 16, 2004 - Report this comment
Ash: Glad everyone's ok. No I haven't yet, but it looks like a hoot! Have you seen it yet?

Ash: Will do, without fail! Btw, you're under arrest. You've been observed mocking a cop. This is a violation of the Patriot Act, you unpatriotic scum! Stay where you are, we're on our way.

Nice rod. I mean, Nice, Rod. Fave bits: "geyser spray," "soiree," and the Reno 911 reference.
