The Lyrics

Taking center stage this week on all the news circuits is none other than New Jersey Governor James McGreevy. And we thought old Grey was bad. Factoids that this parody is not so loosely associated to can be viewed at the following URLs: http://www.newsday.com/news/local/newyork/nyc-gay0813,0,6002866.story?coll=ny-nynews-headlines http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showfast.html?article=42202
Jimmy McGreevy, givin' up your seat,
Workin' on your marriage, but still you cheat.
Take the state's money, payroll for your gent,
I don't think that money for such things meant.

My those writers got themselves a news day,
Sunday morning how the news shows spun.
Golan's riled and spurned, he lost his nest egg,
He was so shunned.

Jimmy McGreevy, maybe you could guess,
Wonder if your marriage concedes this test,
Uh-uh Uh-uh uh uh...
Flee now and run.

Lay this bad on ya, usin' the state's bread,
Listen to your dip-stick paying for some head.

Few gays like the tune of him decending,
Turning in his papers not to run.
Thursday's news was shocking and impending,
Flee now and run.

Jimmy McGreevy, givin' up your seat,
Workin' on your marriage, but still you cheat.

This goes so well with the music and makes me want to smile, which I did all the way through the parody. 5's

Now maybe if Mitt Romney suddenly announces he's gay and then gets divorced, Jimmy can get divorced, too, and then move to Boston and marry Mitt, and they can live happily ever after! 5's

Now how did I know Guy was gonna be the first with a McGreevey parody? At least he did a great job with it. But let's face it, the weasel brought it on himself. As long as his "scandals" were about corruption, he had the moral high ground on the Republicans. But giving your boyfriend a State job for which he wasn't qualified? Hell, even Clinton never did that! Jim had to go. He couldn't ride it out. He couldn't suck it up. Instead, he blew it. He really blew it. What an ass. See? I can make fun of Democrats too. And did you see his wife? You'd think Dina could make a guy switch! If he doesn't want her, I volunteer! Jim, you coulda made us proud.

Michael - Thanks, writing this kind of parody is a dirty job but somebody has to do it. I'll admit that you were on my mind when I wrote this, but I thought that even Michael Pacholec would enjoy this one and I'm pleased to see that you do. And yes, I did see his wife on TV at his news conference. I could not believe the happy look she had on her face, what's up with that? And by the looks of her it would only be someone gay who would not stay home with that. See had the smile of Bob's wife on those Enzyte commercials. Hmm, what could I do with that?

Thank you also Pat, Johnny, Amanda, John and Mac for your comments although I don't know what Amanda is referring to with her question.

Guy, well done. Hey, you have to admit, the democrats have better scandals. I've asked women all weekend, "how could you not know your lover was gay?"

I'd like to say that we do not support this kind of thing and we do not support gays in office who use their political clout for sexual favor.
Fellow non-gay Bush supporter - August 16, 2004 - Report this comment
Isn't Gay men for Bush kind of an oxymoron? And since when does the Bush administration support anything Gay?
Gay men for Bush - August 16, 2004 - Report this comment
Ever since he started surrounding himself with Dick and Colon.

QUOTE - Hey, that's what your State gets for electing Republican Governors who dont send enough money to the Department of Transportation. Jim McGreevey's always fixing potholes here in New Jersey -- of course, with eight years of GOP neglect before him, there's lots of work to do! You should see Pennsylvania: Ed Rendell's really got his work cut out for him!

Yeah boy was he ever, but Michael you had no idea just what kind of pot holes he was filling now did ya? UNQUOTE
