If all had gone according to plan, tonight could have been Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Alas, the New Jersey Devils and the Detroit Red Wings -- not to mention the other 28 teams in the National Hockey League -- are not scheduled to play. The blame rests solely with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. Nobody put a gun to the team owners' heads and told them to pay a penny more than was necessary. The players are greedy, but by playing in Europe for half to one-tenth as much, they have the moral high ground.

he is such a big buffoon.
